CaSey:

"A girl who has a desire to live life in her own way;
Create herself uniquely.
She hasn’t seen everything in life,
Due to the fact of only being the age 14
But she’s determined to see everything she can before her time is up.

She hasn’t been through all the tough times in life
But she’s been through enough to say;
That she’s ready for what life throws at her next,
She’s up for the challenge to prove
That she knows what she wants in life
and where she wants to be.

Writing and Photography are her deepest passion;
Turning age 18 and traveling to Rome,
To see what exquisite pleasures await her there
Are what bring her the most happiness of growing up.

She only has one fear;
And its the fear of knowing what other people are thinking,
Not of what they are thinking about her,
Just of what they are thinking in their minds in general.

There’s only one person she truly tells her feelings
And most inner thoughts too,
And hopes they stay in a safe place.

She might not be the prettiest
But she has enough confidence to know
What other people think really doesn’t matter;
And she has enough dignity to move on
Without all the ignorance around her"

Hello.:) Welcome here. You're quite new I see. Perhaps no one has told you yet? Er... There's a 2:1 policy on this site. For every one literary post you must have reviewed 2 other works. I suppose someone shall tell you about it more understandably later.

Yeah, now on to this poem.

It's quite good. Although I think that the language you used here fits prose more than poetry. Perhaps this piece would be better as a story? It ust really doesn't strike me much as a poem. This piece lacks imagery for instance.

Anyway, Good luck with your writing.

Wether this be poetry or not I really enjoyed it.

All that I'm after is a life full of laughter, as long as I'm laughing with you.:)

“Hope” is the thing with feathers - That perches in the soul - And sings the tune without the words - And never stops - at all -
— Emily Dickinson
