"We are the Folk, and tonight we speak in one voice of the deeds of all. We are the Folk." The elder's chant makes your fur prickle and your heart swell. Meerclar's Eye watches proudly as he walks, stiff-legged, towards you.
The Folk are all cats of true heart. They all carry three names: the Heart Name, to be used between siblings and mates; the Face Name, for everyday use; and the Tail Name, never to be spoken.
You are a young hunter, just newly Named by your clan. Several felas (female cats) and their litters, as well as roving toms, have disappeared under strange circumstances. Will you take up the quest to find the Seat of Harar, the Father of all cats, or fall prey to his enemy, Heartearteater?

* If you wish to create a cat from Firsthome or the Seat of Harar, post at least one reason. (Your character is a noble; you grew up in Firsthome.)

Meeting Wall:
This side of the Old Woods, the Folk of the Meeting Wall aren't too picky about living near Man. Each cat is Named after eight eyes, or cycles of the moon.
Forest Light:
The Folk of Ratleaf Forest don't share Meeting Wall cats' trust of man. They lead a solitary life, disdaining the noise and bustle of Firsthome.
Firsthome (Seat of Harar):
These cats live paw-to-tail. They like it that way; many Folk consider them unnatural. Still, all Folk in need come to the Seat.
Characters (all up for adoption)
Tailchaser: an orange tom of the Meeting Wall clan. He lost his friend and near-mate, Hushpad, to Man's whims. He sets out to follow his clan's delegation to Firsthome.
Pouncequick: Tailchaser's companion; hardly more than a kitten, but he shows surprising depth. He longs to see the world, but stays close to his friend's side.
Roofshadow: a gray fela of the Forest Light clan. Usually very reserved, it comes as a shock when she joins Pouncequick and Tailchaser. She thinks on her feet and keeps the party going.
