I always seem to put my poetry in here, cause none of my stuff ever really fits...I wrote this after my Journalism Semester Exam, so I'm starting to see a pattern here, I write most of my good stuff after
tests, or while I'm supposed to be taking tests...haha.
To Love
To live
To want
To laugh
To cry,
To hope
To dream
To yell
To lie.
To see
To lose
To give
To despair,
To win
To hear
To question
To care.
We are human,
We are weak.
We squabble and fight
over the answers we seek.
We let possessions and greed
take over our life,
We say we're religious,
but worship war, lies, and strife.
We are disasters,
and the carriers of,
but we still have hope,
because we can love.
*** Yeah, there are a few places where the rhythm is kind of messed up, and I'm not sure how to fix that, but then again, sometimes I think it's more natural sounding when it isn't perfectly rhythmic all the time...You know the drill, rip it, burn it, run over it with a hummer (you never see those anymore...), you get the picture.
