The priest speaks with fervor,
The priest speaks of God;
The priest speaks of leaders
Who are blasphemous clods.

He spoke about politics,
And God's perfect plans;
He condemns the government
To add more to God's fans.

The priest speaks with passion,
Agains tyrants of law;
Compares them to his savior,
Who has not a flaw.

He spoke of injustice,
And prejudiced fools;
And called them all demons,
The devil’s own tools.

The priest was done talking,
And a basket was passed;
To be filled up with glory,
Glorious, cold cash.

And great God in heaven,
Will need all the dough;
Cause the façade of salvation,
Needs funds for next show.

Funny, if a tad insulting (yes, I am a Christian :p). Even so, I liked it. My only advice is to change the line about the cash a bit; it doesn't quite fit in with the rest of the rhythm.

Otherwise, very funny, if somewhat satirical. You sure got your point across. :)

I am a Christian as well. I am not insulting anyone or trying to oppose religion or anything. I hope I am not too forward. This is not about God, it is about those that masquerade to serve God. It is satirical. Meant to be.:)

I disagree with you here, I kind of appreciated that it was there. I'm not religious by any means and in that second there from the awkward stoppage with "cold cash" it kind of felt like it was put there so I can examine exactly the purpose of it all. Kind of like a punchline. This was pretty hilarious in a cruel looking down on you sort of way to me. Thanks for sharing, keep it up it's much appreciated.
