'Twas a forest I was bound
Near a blueish bay
Something so rogue had I found
Looking at my way
It gazed at me with poised grace
No one else around
Staring me deep at thy face
With not the slightest sound
The stillness could 'ave shattered me
Right there where I stood
Peircing me with no sympathy
Through the dying wood
Not just my limbs had halted stiff
While being mapped by beast
My heart and mind were jumping cliffs
For I may be its feast
It turned on foot and it did cling
Onto a mossy branch and sat
Opening its two boned wings
Revealing its ribs brimmed with fat
It was a mother beast I saw
Holding child within
Only boasting by tooth and maw
Protecting her dear kin
I shuffled backwards 'way from harm
Where some gray rocks lay
The beast just watched me alert and warm
It seemed just like a day
But as I walked away slowly
I sware what I perceived
The beast returned a glance at me
With eyes that logic had deceived
No one can explain what I seen
Was it just a fiend?
Dreaming now a gentle dream
Its eyes of emerald green
