The next morning, my alarm clock woke me up at the same usual time. Groaning and cursing under my breath, I turned off my alarm clock. I pulled the covers over my head and tried to go back to sleep. I wanted nothing more but to miss school today. Yesterday was just one of those days that made you want to disappear. After Jen took me home, I threw myself in bed and went to sleep. I was hoping that I would forget everything that happened that day, but I didn’t. Not a single tear came out of my eye for loosing Shawn. I never cried over boys. In my life, boys just weren’t worth crying over or at least just the ones I dated.

I fell asleep for a half an hour before my alarm clock went off once more. I slammed it off, annoyed with the stupid alarm clock that woke me up more than once in a day from my peaceful fantasy world into my messed up, screwed life. This was my parents' sick way of trying to get me to school while they were away at work or in the bar. It had usually worked, but not today. Leaning off the side of my bed, I yanked the plug of my alarm clock out of the outlit and rolled back over. I wasn’t going to school today. I didn’t want to face Shawn’s pathetic begging for my forgiveness. However, I did want to see Jasper today, but I would see him tomorrow for what we can now call a date. Just then, I heard honking outside my window.

“No!” I shouted, but the honking continued. Finally, he got out of his truck and started banging on my door. “Go away, Shawn!” I shouted again.

“Liz it’s me,” I heard Jen say from outside.

After stumbling out of bed, I stalked over to the door and let Jen inside. I then went back to bed and threw the covers over my head. Jen pulled them back off.

“Come on, Liz lets go. Get your butt up and get dressed,” Jen said, smacking me hard on the butt.

“I’m not going to school today,” I muttered, my head in my pillow.

“I didn’t come all this way for nothing. Now, come on lets go before Shawn comes over.”

I hadn’t thought of that. Shawn would probably break in my house and drag me to his car if he had to. Yawning and rubbing my eyes, I sat up on my bed. Jen dug through my closet and pulled out a pair of nice jeans and a pink frilly shirt I never wore. She threw them at me. “I’ll wait in the car,” Jen told me. As she left the room, I changed into the jeans and pulled a blue Aeropostale shirt out of my closet and over my head. While I blacked my eyes with makeup, Jen started honking her horn continuously. Grabbing my back pack and shoving on my coat, I ran outside and climbed into Jen’s SUV.

“Why don’t we just skip school and go to the mall?” I whined.

“Because I have a science test that if I don’t pass I will get my license taken away for a month,” Jen explained. Sighing, I folded my arms across my chest and glared out the window.

“Come on, Liz. It won’t be that bad. It’s just one guy. If you have to, kick him in the crotch again.”

“How would you know, you get all the sweet and sensitive guys and I’m always stuck with the asshole’s.”

“Nah-ah.” Jen wagged her finger at me. “You forgot about Jeremy.”

I laughed. Jeremy was one of Jen’s ex-boyfriend. “OK, yeah, Jeremy was probably the worst,” I chuckled.

When we were in the school building, Jen and I hurried off to our first class. I sat down next to Jasper in the same seat I sat in yesterday and all the many days of my junior year. Jen sat down in the seat behind me and ignored us as we began passing notes.

“Hi,” Jasper wrote.

“Hey,” I replied.

“Is your boyfriend letting you talk to me now?”

“Well no, but I broke up with him yesterday.”

“Oh,” was Jasper’s only reply.

“Yeah, he was a jerk to begin with, so you kind of did me a favor making him jealous.”

“Well, I’m happy to have helped.”

“So, I guess that means that tomorrow night is officially a date.” I struggled as I wrote, but I finally managed to get them on the paper and pass the notebook over to Jasper.

I waited anxiously as I waited for Jaspers reply, my fingers fumbling. “I guess so,” he finally wrote.

My eyes glued to the small note on the paper, as I read it over and over again. It wasn’t much, but it was my first acceptance to a date with a guy who wasn’t a punk like Shawn. When I could tell Jasper eyeing me anxiously, I quickly scribbled another note to Jasper. It read, “Are you up for skipping gym again?”

“Yeah, but why don’t we skip the whole class this time?”

It didn’t take me long to answer. I was all for skipping gym. “Is that a trick question?” I asked, smiling up at Jasper.

“Ha ha, OK I’m taking that as a yes. So, I’ll meet you at the library at three o’clock.”

“We don’t have to stay at the library.”

“Where do you want to go?”

“I don’t know, but we’ll meet at the library, then we can figure out where exactly we want to go.” I passed the notebook back to Jasper, wondering what he was going to write next, but at that moment the bell rang. This was probably the first time ever I was disappointed that history was over. However, I grabbed my bag and walked out into the hallway this time Jasper followed me. “So I’ll see you at lunch,” I told Jasper as I left for my English class.

After I survived a very dull hour of my English class, I went to biology, but right before I walked into the classroom I froze. Shawn was already there waiting for me, I just knew it. I had to sit next to him because we were lab partners. I didn’t want to have to face Shawn, at least not today. As I leaned against the wall, I slid to the floor. All the rest of the students ignored me as they walked right past me into the classroom. I could just skip class. That would probably be my best option, but right before I was about to get up and run off to the library my biology teacher walked up to me.

“Liz, what are you doing? Stand up and get to class,” he snapped.

Without bothering to try to reason with my teacher like telling him I was sick or something, I slowly rose to my feet and stalked into the classroom. I sat down next to Shawn without even bothering to look at him. For the first time ever, I focused on whatever my biology teacher was saying. Shawn grabbed my head and kissed me on the cheek. “Leave me alone,” I hissed, shoving him away from me.

“Baby, can’t we just talk about this?” Shawn whispered.

“There’s nothing to talk about. Shawn, it’s over.”

“Baby, I’m sorry. Give a guy a break once in a while.” Shawn pulled me closer towards him.

That was it; I had to get away from him. “Let go of me! Just leave me alone!” I shouted to the top of my lungs.

The teacher stopped what he was doing and turned to us. “Do I have to separate you two?” he asked his hands on his hips.

“Yes, please,” I said, quickly.

The teacher pointed to me and another kid in the back of the class. “You two, switch,” he commanded, snapping his fingers. Proud of myself for figuring out a way to get away from Shawn, I sat next to a kid I hardly knew in the back of the class. We worked together, barely talking to each other. When the bell finally rang, I rushed out of the class so I wouldn’t be bothered by Shawn.

After a nice class of art, where I wasn’t bothered by anybody, I walked quickly over to the cafeteria, where I bumped into Jen.

“Hey Liz, did it go OK in biology?” Jen asked

“Well yeah, after I got away from Shawn,” I replied.

“Oh, Liz, I’m sorry,” Jen started to say.

“Um, Jen, I’m going to go sit with Jasper again.”

“Do you mean that guy who your passing notes to in history?”

“Yeah, See you later,” I called as I ran to the food stand.

“See yah,” I heard Jen call after me.

I quickly piled my tray with all different kinds of food and rushed over to sit with Jasper.

Aw. Good job. A couple of things I saw:

I wanted nothing more, but to miss school today.

You can take out that comma. You are only suppose to put a comma there if it is a compound sentence.

After Jen took me home, I threw myself in bed and went to sleep, hoping that I would forget everything that happened that day, but I didn’t.

There are a lot of commas in that sentence. Maybe seperating it into two sentences will help clear it up.

I fell asleep for a half an hour before my alarm clock went off once more.

You can take out the a before half. You don't need it there.

This was my parent’s sick way of trying to get me to school while they were away at work or in the bar.

Do you mean one parent or two parents. If there is only one, you can keep it like that, even if it sounds weird. If it's two of them, it needs to be parents'.

Leaning off the side of my bed, I yanked my alarm clock unplugged and rolled back over.

Huh? Having unplugged there ruins the whole sentence. It doesn't belong. Maybe take
unplugged out and just put plug there.

“No,” I shouted, but the honking continued. Finally, he got out of his truck and started banging on my door. “Go away, Shawn,” I shouted again.

If she is shouting, don't you think that there should be exclamation points?

“Come on, Liz. It won’t be that bad. It’s just one guy. If you have to kick him in the crotch again.”

You need a comma between have and to.

“Is your boyfriend letting you talk to me, now?”

You can take out the comma between me and now.

When I felt Jasper eyeing me, anxiously, I quickly scribbled another note to Jasper.

You can take out the comma between me and anxiously. Also, she can feel him eyeing her? Most people can't feel when someone is eyeing them.

Shawn was already there waiting for me I just knew it.

You need a comma between me and I.

All the rest of the student’s ignored me as they walked right past me into the classroom.

You don't need the apostrophe in student's. The students can't own ignored. That makes no sense.

Ok, you had a lot of misused commas throughtout the whole post. Some commas were where they shouldn't have been. Some commas weren't where they were supposed to be. You need to watch out for those mistakes.

On the actual written part, I thought it was really good. Good description and such. Good job on that. :D
