On a dark throne,
devoid of light, immaterial,
the architect worked his magic,
and from his magic sprung a formula,
and his careless builders, born from the formula, obeyed the formula.
The formula is all!
The formula shall rule!

The architect knew not what to expect,
but predicted that the formula would be chaotic, for a time,
only to become stable for eternity.
Beings alike to the architect sprung into being from the chaos,
and the architect pitied them-they would not survive the equilibrium.
He warned them of their end, but gave them hope,
so that they would live their short time happily.

But discontent grew amongst the architect's children.
They learned slowly, and their potential for wisdom was exploited,
so that only a few could happily accept the fate assigned to them.
Over time they learned that their father was as unwise as themselves,
and that their world, which he created, was a mistake.
At first, the architect tried to force ignorance upon them, childishly.
But shame suppressed his rage, and he let them make their own path.

Many did not feel his presence leave,
they continued to talk to him, but they received no answer.
But a few knew he had left,
some were overcome with depression - all hope was lost for them.
But others sought to bend the formula to their will,
to increase their wisdom, and increase their power,
so that they could reverse their primordial ancestor's mistakes.

This spherical garden is destined for destruction,
but we have broken our chains before.
Perhaps we will outlive our home,
or perhaps our home's fate is not set as our designer predicted.
There is hope yet.
The architect created the designs,
let him be grateful that we are here to improve them.

A terrible force lurks in the designer's realm,
an entity far worse than that of the destroyer of ancient myths.
It is the imprisoner.
It catches all that pass near it, and slowly reels in those that are distant.
Already much of the universe has been imprisoned, never to be seen again.
The architect sent the imprisoner to calm the chaos, to create stability.
But he didn't know what he would imprison.

Who knew that humans could fight from beyond their reach?
Who knew that humans could make their speech physically manifest?
Who knew that humans could float, or fly?
Who knew that humans could reach beyond the tallest mountain?
Who knew that humans could communicate from opposite poles?
Who knew that humans could create life?
Who knows what humans can do?

Many animals will run when they can,
but fight to the bitter end if they can't.
Let us be one of these animals.
We have defied the architect's predictions before.
We might do it again.
We can cower and die, or live in a drunken bliss for a fragment of time.
Or we can be saviours.

Saviours of ourselves.
Saviours of life.
Saviours of our home.
Saviours of beauty.
Saviours of the architect's sanity.
Saviours of the universe.
Saviours of all that is good.
I refuse to acknowledge the existence of this signature.
