All the night while he slumbers
So very far away
I lie and watch the window where
The wordless raindrops play
And the moon makes them glow
Silver in the dark
The moon makes them glow
So silver...

Beckon me back to lands where I see him
Take me to his side while I sleep here in my bed
Where trees go on forever in a wild green river
Where in the harshest wind
I will not shiver
Not in the wildest winds
Will I shiver.

All the world slumbers
Deep as the tossing sea
Sleep touches all it finds
But still it won’t find me
Just I and the roving wind are singing here tonight
As the moon o’erhead glows silver

Beckon me back to lands where I see him
Take me to his side while I sleep here in my bed
Where trees go on forever in a wild green river
Where in the harshest wind
I will not shiver
Not in the wildest winds
Will I shiver.

And as I listen harder
I can hear his gentle breath
I feel he will be mine
Till the soft pull of death
For now though I am lonely sitting in my bed
As the moon makes my hair glow
Silver...
