Hello YWS!

I am enrolled in a 300-level Medieval Art class this semester, and for my term paper I have decided to follow the peacock, such as he is represented in catacombs, mosaics, relief carving, manuscripts, what have you, and do a study on both the meaning of the peacock as a symbol and what his presence indicates. Wikipedia is no good for this paper, but I'd really appreciate any good book recommendations.

Peacocks were supposed to be bad luck, but I forget who by. The Romans? Something to do with their cry being a forerunner of death.
