The One Who Walked Alone

A boy walks the halls, seeming alone,
traveling by himself, this is what others see.
As they pass him by; they see a person,
who walks swiftly and quietly alone;
speeding off to class, a bus, or home.

What they don’t see with their eyes
is that he’s not alone,
there may not be a someone
physically walking with him,
but there is someone that is always with him.

What others see is only a half truth,
they see only the physical plane
one of him walking alone, but
they don’t see the spiritual plane,
the one that has Jesus traveling right beside him.

When comfort is needed, when advice is sought for,
others go to those they believe to be friends,
he goes to Jesus for He has all the answers and comfort.
When others curse and wail and blame others for their problems,
He praises the Lord for sending him a chance to grow and learn.

This poem is a really nice expression of faith and the sentiment behind it comes through really well. However, you do need to work on your final stanza - it doesn't flow as well as the rest of the poem and some of the lines are definatelt too long. Other than that this poem is beautiful in its simplicity. Way to go!

This is an interesting idea, though I think it needs a better rhythm. You have some lines longer than others, so it kind of threw me off. Other than that, though, I don't really think that there is much to improve. Perhaps some better word choices, but that's only minor. Good job! ^_^
