Hold me now.
Tell my that my nightmares
Are nothing more
Then paranoia.

Going off
To save some troubled soul,
You say,
But what about mine?

One kiss
Can only satisfy me
For so long.

(Chorus)
While you're off on some
Big adventure,
I'm still bathing in my tears.
Yet somehow I'm still
Forever faithful
Always waiting for you.

Are you ever coming back
Like you promised me you would?
Without you I'm defenseless,
No roof to shelter me
From the rain.

But that's okay
'Cause it's my only comfort
In this wasteland
Or so it would seem.

(Repeat Chorus)

I've forgotten how to smile.
The beauty in my world
Disappeared with you.

I guess that's why
I'm still waiting
For the eternal summer paradise
That surrounds you.

(Repeat Chorus)
"You do ill if you praise, but worse if you censure, what you do not understand." Leonardo Da Vinci

Liked the chorus.
How can you prove that we exist? Maybe we don't exist...

I should say that to my boyfriend. I liked it a lot. It was very well written in my opinion, but I dont' write song lyrics because it annoys me to sing them later.

It showed good imagery and emotion.

Hold me now.
Tell my that my nightmares
Are nothing more
Then paranoia.

Shouldn't it be, "Tell me that my nightmares are nothing more than paranoia?"

Are you ever coming back
Like you promised me you would?
Without you I'm defenseless,
No roof to shelter me
From the rain.

The "song" lost it's flow here. It's like a poem here than a song. It sounds like a broken phrase here.

But that's okay
'Cause it's my only comfort
In this wasteland
Or so it would seem.

Here too, in the last two lines.

On the summary, it was a nice "song" but I think it's more of a poem than a song.

Don't let fear keep you from some amazing opportunities.
