"Abandon all hope all ye who enter here,"
The old wooden sign said, precariously set
She looked back at her home behind her
Turned to face the future
And walked forward without hesitation.

My first suggestion for this is to tidy it up a bit. The punctuation could be improved and your word choice is rather unoriginal. If you extend it then you could add in some great description. For example, where is your persona? All we know at the moment is that there's a wooden sign stuck in the ground somewhere between her house and her future. Describe what the ground is like, the weather, the area, just give your reader something to visualise. Perhaps the words on the sign are faded or are they bold and bright? Anyway, here's a quick line by line for the punctuation -

"Abandon all hope all ye who enter here," [I think I'd put a semi colon here rather than a comma...]
The old wooden sign said, precariously set.
She [But who is she? Here you need to describe the girl standing there.] looked back at her home behind her,
Turned to face the future
And walked forward without hesitation.

In general, it's too short and it's rather unoriginal but I like the opening line and I think this has the potential to be really good. If you make any changes, let me know and I'll take another look.

In all, it seems too... rigid. Like you took a few sentences and line-broke them: esp. dialogue tags after the quote. I mean, it's done, but here it just seems to blatant/forced. In general, everything could be a bit tighter. Example: "She looked back at her home behind her" could be simply "she looked back at her home"

You should attempt to do more with the concept of walking head-up into the future, instead of stating it rather blatantly. Have some fun with it: personify the concept, take it literally, expand on the future, deconstruct something. Ask yourself how much more can be attained from the poem past the words read the first time around, and try writing a second version, to see if a different mindset might produce a poem you like even better. As is, it's fine, I suppose, but nothing shining. Help it to glow ^_^

PM me if you have any questions,

You know, I really do like this. It's got a sort of simple, charming appeal that makes for a fun read. I like the stories that could be behind this; the options for background are wide open.

I think that you could lengthen this with little difficulty. I'd be interested to hear the story you see.

I mean absolutely no offense to those who commented (really, because I love comments!) but I did find it a little funny how seriously you took this blurb. You're right--I could go elsewhere with this, and to make it a really great poem, more details would need to be added. And yes, it is rather unoriginal, both in concept and in the first line, which I stole unashamedly from a source I can no longer remember.
But this was something meant as a signature, as the title suggests. Something that would catch the mind, not enthrall it with details. It's meant to inspire a story in the reader, and while I admit that it could be done better, it does seem to have accomplished it's purpose.
However, I will think about this poem more, and if any inspiration comes to me, I will certainly enlarge upon this piece.

I like it as a blurb, and as you suggested, as a signature. but as a poem, it'd be cool to see it expanded into a longer one, to see where it goes.

But I like it as a signature...a lot. you achieved your goal of inspiring me. I enjoy reading things like that, and as a signature, it's nice, short, and leaves a lasting impression on the reader.

Try expanding it. you could leave this section as a signature, and you could expand it into a full length poem instead of a blurb. It'd make one terrific poem!

But, if you don't want to, you've done your job, and you've done it well. It'd make a very nice, inspiring signature.
