My experience with batteries

When I was about three years old, I was playing with some toys in the living room while my mom was cooking dinner.

Unfortunately, someone was not bright enough to put these miniature batteries away. There they were lying on the coffee table just ready to be touched by my little toddler hands :D

Anyways, I reached over the table and grabbed the small battery. Knowing how smart I was, I decided to stick it up my nose.

I became a little dizzy, which my mom quickly noticed. She checked me over to find nothing wrong....until she noticed the batteries up my nose.

My dad and my mom rushed me over to the emergency room and had the doctor sedate me while he got an instrument to retrieve the lodged battery in my nose.

Doctors later told my parents that if the battery wasn't removed in time, it would have blown up on my face and either caused extreme deformities or death.

Now I understand the important job all doctors have everyday, whether big or small.

Dang... That was a close call, we've all done stupid things when we were kids. One time I broke my arm when I was three trying to do a backflid off a desk onto concrete. I got a yellow cast. ^_^

Oh my goodness. Batteries are very dangerous; aren't they? I got battery acid in my eye once, had to go to the hospital and have an awful eye water jet squirted into my eyes. Hurt terribly.

This sounds scary though.

Ok...I know this is gonna sound bad...but like...that'd be a cool way to die.

I mean think about it! Imagine a battery blowing up in your nose!!! Like dude, they need to make a horror movie where the killer just sticks batteries in people's noses and lets their faces get blown up! *daydreams*

...

Yeah, that'd suck if it happened to you though...uh yeah...

*backs away slowly*

I once licked a battery. Not the same, I know, but it felt awesome!
Just a thought.

Oh, that must have been scary. Once I put a piece of corn in my nostril and we had to go to the emergency room cause every time I inhaled it got deeper into my nose and it wouldn't disintegrate because of the skin like stuff on the outside. The doctor said that that was a common means of premature death a long time ago... little kids stuffing peas and corn into their nostrils. Funny to think how stupid we are, isn't it?

Enough rambling!
See ya later!!

I can totally relate. Which one of us hasn't shoved a battery up their nose? What? No one but me? Oh dear...

I enjoyed this one. Tramatic childhood experiences...good times, good times.

Gee. Now of all the stupid things I've done, I don't think sticking batteries up my nose has been one of them. Eating woodlice, sure. Batteries? Nope.

Nothing to crit here, except, I'd take out the smiley.

There they were lying on the coffee table just ready to be touched by my little toddler hands :D

Replace the smiley with a full stop, and you have one entertaining bit of work. :D

One time when I was four i stuck a pen cap up my nose and went to the emergency room. It probably wasn't as bad as batteries, but still.... :D

I was flummoxed by fractious Franny's decision to abrogate analgesics for the moribund victims of the recent conflagration. Of course, to display histrionics was discretionary, but I did so anyways, implicating a friend in my drama to make the effect cumulative. I think a misanthrope would have a prosaic appellation, perhaps one related to autonomy and the rejection of anthropocentrism. I think they wouldn't think much of the prominence of watching the coagulation of tea to prognosticate future malevolent events, not even if those events were related to jurisprudence.
