If only the guys that wanted you weren't imaginary.
I don't like the shift of tense in this sentence. The rest of the story is first person, but this is second. I think it should be first person, as well. (You turns to me.)

This was really good, and I enjoyed it. The whole time, you knew he was imaginary, but you really needed the confirmation of it, which I got at the end! It's in nonfiction, so is it about yourself? Imaginary friends are fun, I could never keep them though. I suppose my logic fought with my imagination, and I knew they weren't really there. And yet, I have characters in my head that are realer than most things in life ^^; perhaps I didn't develop my friends enough.

Anyway--I really did enjoy this. It was simple, and cute, and it worked. I think I would have liked a little bit more out of it though--why does she have an imaginary friend? Does she have real friends, too? Do they know about Quincy? Does she get made fun of for Quincy? Of course, she has him because she has no one else, but why does she have no one else?

I loved your observation about the first day of school: Everyone is new and wrapping their tentacles around other newbies. It's such a visual comment, and tentacles sounds so morbid.

I really hope you expand this. ^_^

Schizophrenic or not this piece was very good.

I found no mistakes, which is great!

Can anyone hear her talking to Quincy or is the conversation taking place in her head too?

I'd like to know what Quincy looks like- just a bit. But I understand that you said that sometimes he's a boyfriend, sometimes a girlfriend so that could be a little hard.

This could be great left as it is or expanded. Either way it's very original and I love it!

Keep it up,
