Woah, I'm so glad duskglimmer feels like that, I do too, and I thought I was weird! I basically write because I get anxious and depressed and edgy and cranky if I don't. I think it gets things out of my system or something. And I journal because my memory sucks, and otherwise I'd forget things. I like to have them preserved, just so I don't lose them.

I've tried to answer this question so many times and there are so many answers. I write because I enjoy it, because I hope to have a future in it, because it passes time when I have nothing else to do and most of all, because I need to. I think writing helps me to cling to sanity =)

You own everything that happened to you. Tell your stories. If people wanted you to write warmly about them, they should have behaved better.
