‘Tis said that at the zenith of our clashing love
we see things as they truly are, untouched by
the feral nature of the human heart, sweet
seconds pass and the illusionary wall doth fall.
Such comfort lies within the tepid waters of
our youth, where we can lie beneath the epic
ebb and flow of life untouched; naïve we are
immune. Perchance that here our dreams are true,
where angels walk with us in stride and heal us
with their open palms that we may see with candid
eyes the silvered web that dew-strung life doth
cling with eager hand.
