A chance to dream
A chance to fly
And dance around the midnight sky,
A chance to meet friends old and new
And party 'til the night is through.

The fairie queen sits in her throne
A dainty crown apon her head,
She watches as her friends pass by
And float arond the midnight sky

A chance to sleep
A chance to lie
As morning takes the midnight sky,
A chance to rest and restore power
As daylight wakes each dainty flower.

Well, for a first poem, this isn't too bad. It's a sweet, simple rhyming poem that flows pretty well. You could definitely use a little more punctuation, though.

One spelling note: "apon" should be "upon". And "arond" should be "around".

If you keep writing and reading, you'll definitely get better. Keep it up!

Congratualations on writing your very first poem and a modest one too! before you know it, you won't be able to drink water before you scribble a couple of verses.

anyway, i liked this poem it sounds like a sing-song nursery rhyme which is really sweet and very imaginative. i enoyed the second stanza.

Hobbes : What mood is that?
Calvin : Last-minute panic.
