Your recurring motif of artistic lineage and self-mythologizing was so compelling for me ~~ Frank O’Hara, Kerouac, Ginsberg, Cassady, Bukowski, etc. really create a sense of intimacy/comfort with your speaker, like readers know from the beginning/are familiar with their nature. Love that!! Each reference adds a lot to your narratives and complements your thoughtful, a little compulsive voice.
I also enjoyed your constant place/geography motif, too!! It is more often displacement, longing, avoidance, or maybe a failed pilgrimage, than liberation in the common sense of travel. Wonderful work this April!! <3
