i feel like you've been turning 26 for years

I'm LATE. But I'm going to do Napo casually (as usual, too be honest- I'm just starting out with that in the initial post this year XD ). So I may write one poem and that's it! Or I may write more. Hopefully more, but if not, oh well!

Potential poem list:

1. confusion

there's something about turning twenty-six
floor crumbling
childhood photographs:
past fragments,
play dates crammed down my throat,
trampolines

even if i weren't twenty-six,
i wouldn't feel gravel between my toes,
friendships tangible like peanut brittle

without that girl;
mud-stained knees
grown-ups laughing
i wouldn't know how to fight.
but all she knew was confusion
