This was assignment in my web design class. I know that the rythm is off but the teacher said I had to write the poem in this format...It wasn't my choice... anyways this is dedicated to my dad...not my father

Freshly Served Tea For Two

Related to the mother and the father and the French man too

Being optimisticallly joyous, patient, and loyal are things I like to do

An educator at the peak of a break through

A lover of philosophy and French and gum that is fun to chew

Who feels rather peaceful and appreciated though doesn't have a clue

Who gave to my mother a smile once and a while, and to my dear French teacher a warm fluffy muffin, and to all I know a joke or two

Who has been outside this old town time and again, to New Jersey and New York but longs for the Louvre

Who needed a level head and successfully obtained one, and a little love to make up for its absence, but when I was small and I broke the vase what I really wanted was some glue

Who feared the tree outside my window and the monster under the stairs but more than anything I fear those disappointed eyes so stern and blue

Who longed for the piano to make the same notes that he can produce and for my mind to expand to vast proportions, though deep down all I want is fresh coffee to brew

Who would have liked to have seen a knowledge which anyone could view and a father's warm embrace, or animals set free from the zoo

Adieu

Resident of a small town life in a picture I drew

I like it, despite the peculiar style. I like the little bits and pieces of a person adding up to give us a detailed picture. It's like a police report with gaps that get filled in bit by bit. I'm curious about the words in red, though; is there supposed to be a comma or an 'and' in between the third and fourth red segments? The last two lines also confused me.

I'm having a hard time reading this as a poem; it's more like a story with spaces between paragraphs. Other than that....I really couldn't make it through the content due to the style--I'll try again here in awhile. :(

It was a nice poem, but the stanzas and lines were LLLOOOOONNNNNGGGGGG!!!!!!!!
Try shortening them down a little. I think that it will make the poem flow better, but regardless, good work. Keep it up.
