basically The necklace is a set, One for Eryn and one for Ryu. The night Ryu was taken Eryn gave Ryu a crystal necklace. They both glow with the heartbeat of the other wearer. so like, if Eryn dies, her necklace will continue to glow as long as Ryu is still alive but, Ryu's necklace will dim and eventually go out signifying Eryn's death.
