Games'll cost 50 quid.

And they'll expect you to upgrade in the future. Not request- demand.

Really? That's the first I've heard of it.

Supposedly, this is how they intend to make up for the cost. They won't need to put out a new system, they'll be able to put out new parts 'n such, so you can constantly upgrade your proformance.

The problem with this is that most people aren't accustomed to working on their own computer, let alone a playstation. And that people like me are suspicious of this, because of the Dreamcast. (Which promised something similar, but never delivered.)
