I am quite confused of the difference between writing a draft and publishing it. I don't know why but I got a congratulatory message because I 'posted' when in truth I just wrote a draft. Maybe this sound somewhat stupid, but really I am quite wondering which is which.

Published, I believe, means the work shows up on the literary boards. Drafts is you keeping it private for yourself.
