Blogging

In this day and age, it seems like everyone has a blog about something, and lately I've been interested in starting one of my own. I enjoy voicing my opinion, and could perhaps offer some knowledge on the few things I am actually knowledgeable about. Plus, I'm hoping it will help with my essay-writing skills, which are currently terrible.

However, I'm not sure which blogging platform to go with; I've tried Tumblr, but it's a bit too slow on my dial-up. Since there are so many lovely, talented bloggers around YWS, I figured this might be a good place to come for advice.

Wordpress is the best for a blog with text content!

Ahhhh, thanks Lava! I was researching WP a bit (actually I have some past experience with them...), and it looks pretty good.

I use the 'www.blogger.com' through my google account. It works pretty well for me. By linking it to my Facebook and Twitter I get more readers.

I use blogger.com and have several blogs with them(my writing focused blog is featured in the link below #ShamelessPlug). I think the best piece of advice I could give you is to pick a single subject or just a few related subjects to blog about. A blog that is about anything and everything comes off schizophrenic and tends to turn readers off.
