Climbing to the top
Of a primary-colored abstract sculpture
Spinning around a beam
Like some high-strung monkey
Singing to the world
At the top of my lungs
Some crazy Broadway tunes
This was about a child on a playground, no? I liked this. It was simple yet vivid. The images were great, and I don't even feel like it needs to be extended like I normally do with pieces of this length.
Great work.
Gone, gone from New York City,
where you gonna go with a head that empty?
Gone, gone from New York City,
where you gonna go with a heart that gone?
"In my contact with people I find that, as a rule, it is only the little, narrow people who live for themselves, who never read good books, who do not travel, who never open up their souls in a way to permit them to come into contact with other souls -- with the great outside world." — Booker T. Washington, Up From Slavery
