  1. Despite its less than hospitable title and description, this club was formed to help writers improve their skills, and hone their use of language to a finer edge. Because, (according the widely known adage) the pen is mightier than the sword, and here is where writers can encourage each other as they quest for the mastery of wordsmith-ship.
  2. Quite recently, I've found myself in a word slump. They just aren't coming to me as per usual. I'm sad. I don't like being sad. Perhaps if one of y'all hit me over the head with a dictionary or thesaurus I might get better?
  3. *whumps Bailey* :)

Consequently, I know how you feel; I've found myself staring out the window, making all sorts of odd noises as I try to trigger my memory for that one specific word.
  4. Thanks. I feel better already! At least you have a window...I'm by the bathroom; my roomie has the side of the room with the view. Shall I give you a whack in return? :)
  5. Ah. Well...who knows, inspiration strikes from the least likely places, eh?

And, I'd love that, thanks. *bares head* XD
  6. What great ministration it would be if one were to repeatedly thwart themselves atop the head with a thesaurus or dictionary and the superlative word were to fall out of it and onto the tips of our pens...Alas, if it were so then there would be only writers in this world. I tend to feel that the search, no matter how long it may take, is the highest point of indulgence of being a writer. For the reward after finally scribbling it down on your page is the most exuberating feeling one can have. Take your time to locate that specific word you feel is lost, and the less you think on it the quicker it will come. When it does, you will reap great inner-satisfactory rewards.
