What's your NaNoWriMo about?

I don't have very much on mine but the main character becomes a smuggler and he lives in a dictatorship in a cold, unforgiving land >D

I might be cheating this NaNo, as it stands so far, since I'm working on two novelettes rather than one novel, but I count myself in anyway :3
So far I'm calling them by names of the MCs. Fane is about a thief in the world troubled by revolutions and ruled by some sort of timelords, in which nobody ages or gets sick naturally - and two boys he gets as proteges, one of whom holds the key to basically changing the world order completely.
Mari is about a genderfluid immortal in Victorian London, an illusionist in a circus of freaks and a man/magician? who's to become known as Jack the Ripper.
Immortality is obviously my running theme this year, not quite intentionally. I think I'll have fun, they've both been nagging me to write their stories for months now.
