  1. When the only store you feel comfortable in is a book store.
  2. When you've learned to automatically answer your dad with a "yes, sir" without even hearing what it is he wants you to do, just to shut him up so you can continue to read your story. And then, half an hour later, he asks you what happened to the job he gave you and you stare at him blankly and say, "What did you ask me to do?" And then he says that he told you to unload the dishwasher 30 minutes ago and that you even answered him. And you still posses a blank stare on your face.

  4. When you almost run into someone in the hallway, because you're too busy reading your book to look up.
  5. When you get in trouble in class for finishing the book before the rest of the class breaks page 100.
  6. The local library's phone number is in your cell's contact list...
  7. When you cry over a book.
  8. YES!
  9. You know you are a reader when-

    1) You cry over a book/a specific character in the story.
    2) You throw the book when something bad happens to your favorite character but then you rush over to the book and pick it up gently brushing it off and continue reading.
    3) When your parents call you down for dinner and you respectfully say "Be there in a minute!" And then an hour later your mom comes up to your room and says, "Are you going to eat real food or are you just going to devour you're book?"
    4) When you have learned the art of reading your book while grocery shopping, cleaning your room, walking the dog, or even grooming your horse.
    5) When your English teacher asks you for suggestions on books to read for extra credit.
    6) When you read a book and get so caught up into it that its like you are in that world and when someone pulls you out of it, you are still half way in the book.
  10. When you have mastered the complicated skill of walking, talking (well, at least agreeing), and reading at the same time.
  11. When you think you've mastered that art until you accidently run into someone...

It's all a matter of perspective. Everyone is the hero of their own story, and the villain of another's.
