This is just like Weird Gods but it's for monsters or other creatures.
Here's one: The Nagas are Hindu and Buddhist creatures that are half man and half snake. When they were offered the elixir of life, they stole some and a few drops fell on the ground. The Nagas tried to lick it up but cut themselves on sharp grass. That is why snakes have forked tongues. Nagas can also crawl out of anthills and pump venom into anyone who makes them mad. One of the Naga kings has a cobra-like hood that is used to protect Buddha from violent storms while he is meditating.
Funny stuff, right?

The Greeks had a whole race of half dog half serpent monsters
and creatures that only had big feet

Okay, here's another one:
Nandi bears are giant bears with one eye that live near the Nandi people in eastern Africa. They look like overgrown hyenas besides their long claws and single eye in the middle of their forehead. The bears perch in treetops and when a human victim walks below them they jump down and smash open the head of the unfortunate tribesman. The Nandi bear then it's his brain! Scientists think that this strange phenomena could just be a species of spotted hyena that for some reason have decided to kill humans and eat their brains. Yeah right. -
that sounds gross and weird. I like the gorgons in Greek mythology like Medusa and her sisters.
