I want to know if anybody has read the series called Percy Jackson and the Olympians. I've read all of the books and I love them. They're about modern-day Greek mythology in the United States.

Modern day Greek Mythology? That sounds really interesting. I haven't read it, but I may just look it up for future read. *glances at her long pile of need-to-read books*

Well, they're writen by Rick Riordan. The first one is called "The Lightning Thief" and the latest is "The Battle of the Labyrith".

i love that series. I can't wait for the next book, and then of course i get to loom forward to the movie. And Rick is not mediocre, he is great.

I read about it in this new little field guide called Percy Jackson And The Olympians: The Demigod Files. -
man i knew the title of it sense this summer, along with other stuff on it. The new book cover it actually my background, for now, and has been for a week.

Yeah, I read them. They were ok. Did you know they plan to make a movie based on the books? Should be interesting.

yeah it is supposed to be released febuary 2011, used to be november 2010.

I hope not, they would ruin it. Get rid of all the violence and turn it into one of their lame idiot movies that only little kids would like. Plus use disney stars who would never be right for the roles. But for right now all i know is that the guy who wrote the script for the harry potter movies 1 & 2 is doing it.
Also i have known that sense the summer of 07, a friend of mines dad writes movie scripts, and he went out for that job, didn't get it but i found out about it through that.
