  1. Hello there!! Im Teagan. I been doing music for 8 years now. I have alot of material some of which my band plays but the other stuff just collects dust or gets forgotten. Well most of my songs are bleak, its sad. I NEED happier material! My preferred genres are jazz, rock, alternative and blues.
  2. Hello, Cobweb here. I write songs, play bass, dabble in piano, and sing when ever I can. I’ve been playing with a band for several years, recording for a while too. Since my people went AWOL I’ve been brooding over my predicament and writing cutting songs about romance.

I’m happy to give anyone a critique or advice, such as I can, so just let me know. :D

  3. I'm Silent music. I play electric guitar and I sing. I have been doing so for many, many years. Same with writing lyrics. Music is my only escape from reality and I often need to leave this world for one unknown. My life is extremely difficult right now and my lyrics are extremely dark and deep minded. I tread on the light side when I am in reality and I hide my feelings behind a smile. The other day at school I was talking to my friend, Julia, and I burst into tears for the first time in a long time. I am afraid that one day life will break me and I will fall under its cruel and selfish manner and tears will be the only thing I know. Today, I rode a ferris wheel and took a nature walk with my step dad. A lot of old memory doors were opened and I smiled the whole day. I usually am smiling like I said, but I don't usually feel it like I did today. My smiles have become stronger and stronger in the last few months and my faith in God has been renewed again. I still have a lot of bad habbits that probably never will go away, but I have a lot of good ones too. My mom, ugh, I won't even go there. I dislike her for the example she has put up for me. I am the only one down here keeping my step dad sane. She left because of some financial trouble. Sometimes I hate her, but most of the time I dislike her. I don't think that I have ever loved her. Yeah, I have said it but I don't think that I have actually felt it. She is starting to get the picture now, though. She is coming down soon and when she told me all I said was, "Okay...well I have to go". You might think that it is mean, just you try to be the daughter that she never held and always lied to. She loves my brother, who I dislike at times but I still keep him under my skirt...not litterly. I guess that is all. This basically explained why I am called Silent Music. The music is so clear when all is silent.
  4. Hey everyone! Ive been singing my own lyrics to songs ever since i was little but ive never really written anything down. Ive started to the last few months and my mom says some of them are pretty good. I like all music, but i listen to mostly country. I play the piano and clarinet and i sing a lot even though ive never taken lessons. I sing about random stuff sometimes but its mostly stuff thats happened to me in my life. Some of my songs are corny and to tell you the truth kinda stupid. I think of lyrics at weird times; at 3 am, when my dad is yelling about something that went wrong at work, when im matching cartoons with my little sister, stuff like that. So anyways, yeah thats about all i have on my music backround.

  5. Hi. :)

I'm Lisa and I've been writing lyrics since November 2006, and hopefully I shall do some tunes this year! I mostly write pop/rock, pop/punk, indie/pop and piano-led indie, but I also like to write loud, upbeat pop and punk, and I've written a few things in the various pop, indie and rock sub-genres. What I write depends on my mood... :)
  6. I'm Breezy. I've always had a love affair with Heavy Metal and I'm at the point where I've begun composing my own songs. What I write falls into the punk rock catagory. I'm careful to avoid pop-punk Good Charlotte-esque pitfalls.

To put it simply, I want to be a Ramone or a Misfit. I write fast, energetic, angry music. It's not SUPER heavy and it's not depressing. I value clever, although concise, lyrics.

The state of Rock 'n' Roll has depressed me so much I've picked up my own guitar and have begun composing; I'm bringing it back to power chords and vocal harmonies.

The Ramones once wrote a song that goes something like this:

"We need change, we need it fast, before Rock's just part of the past... Cause lately it all sounds the same to me." <- sound familiar?

Any other punk rockers should hit me up. I love to talk music. I love to bitch and moan about the state of modern rock, but most of all, I love to write. If you need any help with tunes or a friend hit me up!

    :)
  7. Hey, I'm Emily or Angel. Whatever. I love all music types like alternative, celtic, oldies, country, you get the point. My writing, I don't know what genre it is. My main goal is to learn how to play the guitar. I've always pictured myself as a guitar chick, but right now, I'm focusing on violin, but don't worry, I'm not always a classical girl. =)
  8. Hi! I'm iluvtowrite, and I've been writing songs for a few years now. I do it mostly so I can express my emotions or just because I love to write! (Yeah I know, that's a shocker.) :smt040 My preferred genres are pretty much anything but rap, but I think my songs end up sounding a lot like Taylor Swift and other country/pop artists. Maybe part of that is because I sing and play acoustic guitar with my songs, haha.
  9. Hey I'm Chrissie and I've been writing songs for about two years now, and I started when I started playing guitar. My inspirations are Tyler Hilton, Regina Spektor and the Weepies. I guess I'm kind of an indie/folk girl now a days. Nothing too loud. I'm actually in a band that plays Green Day type stuff, so I guess that's where I have my rocker side. Anyways, I real happy to be part of the Songwriters Express. Cheers. :D
