Ways to Help the Environment

3 posts in this topic.

  1. Do you know some ways to be green and help the environment? Add to the list and learn from others!

    Here's one:

    1. Make your homepage www.blackle.com. It's just like Google's Search Engine, but the screen is black. One person had a theory that said that black screens could save a little more energy than white screens.

    Add to the list!
  2. To help the Earth you can do lots of things. Pick up trash at the beach. Wait until you get home to throw out that empty Slurpie cup in the recycle bin. Don't pollute excessivly. Use hybrid cars; if the store is just around the corner, you can walk. You can protest oil factories, write notes to the government concerning the environment. Plant trees and flowers. Use recycled goods.
Ha ha, I could go on and on this, but i'll just stop there. Well, hope I gave you a general idea of all the things you could do.

    Big kiss, class dismissed!

  3. Not only that but educate people - illiterate, third-world natives, children - about caring for the environment and for its creatures. Use solar-, hydro-, and aero-power rather than fossil fuels and electricity.

More things you can do can include turning off more lights and leaving them off during the brightest parts of the day. Light candles instead of lamps. Open windows/turn on fans to let in air/circulate air when it's hot, and turn up the heat just enough to not freeze when it's cold (that would be around 68-70 degrees Farenheight instead of the standard 78-80). And instead of 30 minute steamy showers, take 10 minute warm baths. All of the above save on electricity, which can cut back on fuel costs and not only save you money but help with the environment.

I'm tired of books having villains who are just villains for no reason.
