   What's it about?
   World building. It could possibly be the first step you take when you're working on a new writing project. You might have to deal with the history, the land, the people, the races, the language, and anything else you can think of. It is possibly one of the most essential parts of of writing, especially when you're writing about a world you've created.
   
   This usergroup is for helping you through that.
   
   Now, I certainly don't claim to be a good world builder- I struggle with it myself, because I'm really not good at coming up with ideas for languages and new races and the like. But what I can do is help you with different aspects of world building, the things you're struggling with, and try to help you develop your ideas.
   
   To me, characters, plot, and ideas are essential parts of world building, so while there are other usergroups for those things, I'd like to be able to dabble in them here as well.
   
   Things I Would Like to Cover/Accomplish:
   Basic ideas:
   -Character profiles- come up with ones that fit in a fantasy world
   -World building questions- fantasy world
   -World building- history
   -World building- setting
   -World building- species
   -Idea critiquing- people post various things about their worlds giving information about them and others critique them
   
   If you can think of anything else we should cover/any other activities we can try out, send either Snap or myself a PM or you can go to the "suggestions/questions" thread.
   
   Can I join?
   Certainly! The more, the merrier. It's an open usergroup, which means anyone with an account at YWS can join. There are two ways to join:
   
   1. PM me or Snap, the other moderator
   2. Go to the usergroup control panel and click "view information" after looking for Fantastic World Builders in the drop down list for "non-member groups." You'll see something that reads "group membership," then it'll say that it's open, and you click "join group."
   
   That's it!
   
   What Should I Do Once I've Joined?
   Well, the first thing you can do is go to the introduction thread and introduce yourself.
   
   Can I Make a New Post?
   Absolutely. Obviously it should have something to do with writing/world building, but don't be afraid to make a new post.
   
   If you have any questions, you can send Snap or myself a PM or go to the suggestions/questions thread.

   Does the definition stretch to fit science fiction as well? After all, it's hard for the average bear to imagine a whole planet.
