  1. Anthony LaVie was an English nobleman who married Camille Hamilton. Together they decided to move to the West Indies to start a shipping company. Anthony was commissioned by the English government to become a privateer and loot Spanish ships. He was given a brigantine that he named the Dark Goddess. He named the ship this because it was a pet name he had for his wife. His wife remained on land and lived a very lavish lifestyle because of his skills as a privateer. Camille became pregnant in the winter of 1698.
    August 20th, 1699 Camille LaVie gave birth to their daughter Josette Elizabeth LaVie. Six hours after delivery Camille died. Stricken with grief and not in his right mind Anthony LaVie kidnapped his daughter and her wet nurse Mary and took them on board the Dark Goddess. When Josette was fourteen the Treaty of Utrecht was signed and privateering was abolished (1713). Because Anthony knew no other means to provide for his daughter he continued raiding Spanish ships and became a known pirate in the Caribbean.
    As his crew began to get rougher Anthony sent Mary and Josette away for a year. When he visited Josette for her 15th birthday she begged him to allow her to return to his ship. Perhaps a bit delusional he allowed her to join his crew disguised as a cabin boy. Her identity was soon revealed by one of the sailors, who was promptly thrown overboard by Anthony as punishment. Her presence was never challenged after that and if it ever were brought up Anthony would flog the offender or maroon them.

    At twenty years old Josette LaVie has grown up to be a very beautiful young woman, but she doesn't even realize it. She has long, curly jet-black hair, almond-shaped aquamarine eyes framed by ridiculously long eyelashes. Due to her life on the open sea her skin is tan, her hands calloused, and her frame lithe from strenuous work. Jo usually wears tight fitting britches, a billowing shirt, a leather belt, a bandana, and her Father's tri-cornered hat. When she is on land she will wear knee-high boots, otherwise she is barefoot. Her two prized possesions are a miniature portrait of her Mother and a pistol her Father gave to her for her 16th birthday.
    Jo is just as tough as the men. Her Father trained her how to use a sword and a pistol when she was six. Getting caught in the thick of a bloody battle is like the ultimate high for Jo. Her alcohol tolerance is actually much better than some of the pirates on the Dark Goddess. Some of her biggest pet peeves are being called Josette and being treated like a woman! Jo thinks that love or any intimate relationship with the opposite sex is overrated.
    Jo does have her flaws. She is impatient, stubborn, and afraid to cry in public because she views it as a sign of weakness. Her manners are nonexistant. She belches, farts, and chews with her mouth open. Her vocabulary is colorful and she isn't embarassed by crude conversation. Jo also smells rather badly since she tends to bathe once every two months, sometimes and this is on a rare occassion, she will actually take a bathe once a month.

    And that is Josette LaVie in a nutshell.
  2. Jody
    A fifteen-year old Brit who has been raised by a single mother. She had never even known her father - she'd been told he died in a car accident before she was born. however, throughout the story, she discovers it wasn't a care accident after all. Throughout the story, she has huge problems with her mother, they totally don't understand each other. she begins to ride, and develops a love for horses - they help her run away from her problems at home, which only increase when her grades start to slip. At the stables, she meets a young girl fighting leukemia - a child who teaches her many valuable lessons of life. However, Jody begins to become depressed, and as nobody does anything useful about it, she slowly grows suicidal.

    Linda
    A sweet, curious kid who never shuts up. She has leukemia, and stops responding to treatment at the beginning of the novel. However, she harbours a deep understanding of life which she attempts to share with Jody. She also holds a great love for horses, and would do all she could to spend as much time in the stables as she possibly could. Despite her worsening condition, she remains optimistic, which amazes many of the people around her.

    Susan (Jody's Mum)
    A young woman who falls in love with a man her daughter despises. Jody manages to hide her feelings, however, and Susan doesn't notice them when she marries Steven. She only begins to see the negative changes in her daughter once they all live together - but try she might, she cannot form any sort of understanding or bond with her child. As Jody becomes less and less responsive, Susan becomes desperate and hires a psychiatrist - which only increases Jody's hostility towards her. She doesn't know what to do, and keeps hoping the problem will resolve itself. Her worries are interrupted when she discovers she's pregnant.

    Steven (Jody's step-father)
    Jody's step-father, who seems to dislike her. The two of them simply do not get along, and Steven cannot bring himself to act even remotely fatherly towards her. Instead, he reacts with anger towards most of what Jody says and does, which results in a tense atmosphere in the house, and Jody's unhappiness. Susan does not see this side of Steven's nature.

    Mike (Jody's riding instructor)
    He owns the stable where Jody learns to ride. He runs the business himself, and so is constantly busy, which is one of the reasons he doesn't notice the great changes occurring in Jody during the weeks she spends at the stables. He is a kind-hearted man, who has a way with children and young people. He sees a growing attachment Jody develops for a horse at his stable, but when the horse goes lame, he does not argue with Susan when she insists Jody spend less time at the stables. He fears the effect it may have on Jody were he to sell or put down the horse - which, considering the lack of money, the horse's age, and the non-improving lameness, is a growing possibility.

    Casey (Steven's daughter)
    She and Jody are complete opposites. She's popular, loves the buzz of high school, parties every weekend and has high grades. Casey dislikes Jody for the good contact she used ot have with her mother - something Casey herself never had, as her mother was always more interested in men than her - and so, she works of her bitterness and jealously by acting bitchy and cruel towards her step-sister throughout the novel.
  3. Ooers! This is a really good idea, but I'm actually just winging it. Plus, I have way too many main characters to do this. Lol. I'll work on it though.
  4. I'll just do characters from The Zenith Cycle for now...

    Louis Orson
    A somewhat eccentric programme and the Second Genius of the New World Order, living not in the close-packed cities of most of his contemporaries, but out on their lonesome in an abandoned house in the middle of the suburbs. He happens to be somewhat critical of the current regime, something that causes his friends much grief. However, he is not a firebreathing revolutionary, but a relaxed and casual person who finds fun in danger, and mostly considers life a game. He does have trouble relating with people, preferring to deal with more predictable codes and androids, but with a close few (like Peter Corseley), he has forged powerful bonds. Despite any surface arrogance, he's ultimately a good person. Louis does have a few insecurities, most notably his eternal worry that he wasn't good enough for his mentor (the First Genius)--why else would his mentor not have told him about the Zenith mystery? Physically, he is stocky and with tousled auburn hair, dark eyes, lazily arrogant features, and is always wearing a pair of red shades.

    Peter Corseley
    A young politician, twenty-six when first encountered as a junior member of the New World Order's Assembly. Peter is a close friend to Louis--perhaps Louis's only friend. He is more cautious and conscientious than Louis, and unlike his friend he supports the New World Order, believing that while maybe some aspects of its governing aren't entirely good (like the secret police), the ideals the Order was founded on are sound. Later, as Peter becomes even more exposed to the duplicity of the Order, he decides to work from within to change it for the better. He is mature and calm, and intelligent beyond his years, but also somewhat weak-willed and lacking in Louis's derring-do. Peter's cowardice and inability to really fight occasionally cause him some angst, but eventually he decides to apply himself to the one skill he really has--his skill as a politician. Peter stays as a major character in all six novels, aging from twenty-six to fifty-two, and eventually emerges as the government's new leader. He is thin and pale, and has white-blonde hair he tends to slick back. His eyes are crystal blue, and he wears glasses.

    Alexander Jonathan Finley IV
    He's the protagonist of the second and third books (with Louis being the protgaonist of the first). A young man desiring to start his own screamo band, the "Salt Wounds" and become an international sensation. However, he happens to be attending a magic school, Sunturn Magic Temple, full of people who heavily discourage his ambition.. Although he's magic student, he's very poor at it, and dislikes it, preferring to sing. In fact, he enjoys holding impromptu concerts in the school's gardens, something that causes the faculty, and his studious sibling Byron, endless grief. He in particular regrets his parents' death, feeling that his life ended when the Finley vineyard burned down, and he and Byron became orphans. As Alexander grows older, he eventually realize their dream and marries and has a family, leading him to display a more noble side to his personality--that of an overprotective parent who'd do anything for his family and his small daughter Sofia. Tall and lanky, with heavily dyed and styled hair (though it's naturally brown) and face piercings.

    Byron James Finley
    Alexander's younger brother by two years, starting off the second book at thirteen, while Alexander's fifteen. Byron is everything Alexander is not--smart, studious, an excellent mage, obedient, and quiet. At first glance, he and Alexander seem nothing alike, and indeed their relationship is fraught with tension and even mutual dislike at first. Byron views Alexander as a low-achieving slacker, while Alexander views Byron as a namby teacher's pet--and he's got reason to do so, as Byron IS the number one student in the Sunturn Temple. Byron, however, doesn't have it all good...at times, he wishes for his life to be more, and feels stressed due to all the expectations people pile on his shoulders. Over the course of the story, Byron and Alexander eventually repair their relationship, and become truly close brother. Byron doesn't start a family like Alexander, instead living on his own studying magic. He is thinner and shorter than Alexander, and paler, with a shock of black hair and dark eyes.

    There are more--TONS more--than these four, including *gasp* female characters! Just in case you were worried. But these are enough for now. :)
  5. Kylan: Kylan was born to a young teenage prostitute. The girl died in childbirth, and the child was sold as a slave to a couple in a small village. Kylan grew up with their two sons who were four years older than him, and as the couple added children to their brood, he became a sort of 'nursemaid' to the ones younger than him. The father of the family was the owner and operator of the only pub in the village, and as such, often came home drunk and angry. This anger he took out on Kylan.
    The boy grew up walking on eggshells constantly, helping the mother around the house, working in the pub, and taking care of the couple's snot-nosed brats. that was his typical life, until one day he was visited by an Immortal named Mishael.

    Ok, so that's my main character. I'll add more later, but I'm way too tired now.

    -Elise
  6. Christine
    ~~~~~~~~
    Christine is what you may call a mistake. She was a bit of fun before msrridge, a bit of fun that made marridge come a lot quicker than her parents may have wanted it. But her father's mother( grandma Dawlry) was a beleiver in the old ways, and her mother's family was a phsyco religious group. THe two young people would have been killed if their parents had found out. So he proposed and moment they found out she was pregnant and got married only two weeks after. And when baby Christine was born, every one was too worked up to do the math. Her parents played the role of compleatly concerned, must wash everything we touch and the baby needs three baths a day, type of parents. And every one was a tad bit depressed when the adorable round faced little baby turned into a chubby, impossibly small, bug eyes, thin liped, quiet little todler. After age seven. CHristine was pretty much left alone, Her parents were kind, they fed her and bought her clothes and books. BUt they just didnt worry as much any more. ANd she started to read.
    ~~~~~~~~
    At age five:
    Christine's parents had connecter with a half sister. The kind of realitive that just wont leave you alone after you find out your realated. The kind that call you and all of a sudden care, and know all your kids names, and when you were married and so on and so on. That was exactly what 'aunt' Kristyn was like. Christine's father's mother finally brought a child that had come out of an affair, out into the open when she divorced her first husband after nearly 40 years. And this aunt, this Kristyn wanted to be compleatly involved with her half brother's life. SHe called every day and spoke for half and hour with first Christine's mother and then another half hour with her father. And she was absouloutly thrilled with the four year old Christine Francise Dawlry. And Christine had no idea why. Nor did her parents for that matter. They adored their little girl but some one who had never met the chubby, short, crazey aubern curls and bug-like eyed little four year old wouldnt exactly classify her as 'cute'. But none the less Kristyn adored her. Maybe it was the idea of being an aunt. Or maby she was just clinging to the bit of real family she had. And that was the reason that Mrs.Dawlry felt pity for her and when she asked for Christine for just one little weekend the Dawlry family (almost eager to be free of one night of nightmares and wet beds) handed christine over on her fifth birthday, that friday night.

    And no one had any idea that Kristyn was wealthy. SHe wouldnt tell them how she got to that point, where she worked or why she only lived in a semi-large house. But Christine nearly shoved her parents out the door when she saw the room, specially designed in a ruffly pink and bunnys. Even though Christine personally liked bears. THe man eating kind. But yes it would do and not to mention the stacks of presents. That they got started on right away. A barbie jeep, new dresses, a mini make up set. Face paints, and a huge bag of peanut M&M's. And then they went out, to a resturaunt of her choise. And of course it was McDonalds. And afterwards they decided to walk home. Christine happily hugging a teddy bear with paper fangs taped over it's mouth and munching on a bag of peanut M&M's. Her 'aunt' was counting the change making sure not a single dollar had been cheated out of her tacky faux fur purse. When it happened.

    They were passing one of the many alley's. And apparently some one noticed they fan of money in Kristyns painfully unaware hands. And a man came out. tall and nasty looking. But apparently he knew how to fight. But Kristyn tried to fight back. And was killed before Christine's rather large gray eyes. She just stood there, holding the bear out infront of her, eyes squeezed shut tightly shreiking untill a woman came over from across the streat, calling 9-1-1, and holding her itty bitty hand. And though she didnt know how to react to the death of the nice lady, that she hardly knew giving her many gifts and candy bags and buying her mcdonalds that her own mother insisted was bad for her. But little things about her changed. She didnt like watching the Man Eating Bears, any more. Peanut M&M's were now dispised. and no one knew how she would act to some one being killed right there infront of her. But deep inside. if she had to watch one more person die. Who knew what it would have done to her.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    At age 13
    Christine was quiet, didnt speak hardly at all. She was getting decent grades but didnt particapate in class, and had one of THOSE attitudes that teachers hated. The sarcastic, I dont care what you do to me, kind. She her self was getting sick of the pink shirts, tenis skirts, and horrible bell-bottom jeans her parents and family were buying for her. So she adapted a new look. Acid washed and dark skinny jeans were bought with babysitting money. dark hoodies and tight black and white checkered v-neck shirts and tanktops aswell, and not to mention the torn up flats or DC shoes. She attempted to cut her hair short but it just frizzed out at amazing gravity defying angles and so she decided that waist length was the way to go. SHe expirmented with eyeliner, and ended up poking herself in the left eyes. THus giving up on the 'goth racoon' look. She settled for grapefruit scented clear lipgloss. Her parents had grown tired of playing the perfect attentive mother and father roles when she was about seven. She then entertained herself by reading. And reading, and reading. SHe loved vampire books. Bloodline the best. And fantasy. Lord of the rings, Eragon, and Mythology. THe Knight Of The Round Table, ancent greek and roman gods and godesses. Everything that wasnt reality she loved. And it seemed to influence her. She spent days people watching, not interecting at all just looking for people that may be werewolves or vampires, gods, or a shapeshifter. But she never found any. Or they never turned out to be what she thought they were. A Pale gorgeous man that resembled Quincy was just you average cocky jock. One that didnt tan very well. But she worked herself up so much that even at thirteen some one could come up to her, tell her they had found a vampire, give some seemingly valid evidence and she would have swallowed the story. And so she was known as the quiet, 'goth' girl who read. She had had one boyfriend in eighth grade. Some kid named Daniel. but as soon as he had expressed his opinion on Vampires the realationship had ended three days later.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    On her attitude, how and why it happened:
    Well at her first school, Carver middle school, boone high school, and Brookshire elementairy school her friends were, well lets just call them words that she doesnt like to use. They were material girls. And the worst kind. They expected her to listen to thier problems and take their crap and take it quietly. With out arguing back. just nodd and look sorry if some ones boy friend had broken up with them or giggle if they told her that she had no boobs. But she quickly grew sick on it once she it Carver. And she blew up. and then her 'attitude' (as her mother liked to call it) started up. she was also isolated by her parents and reading and hate for going out much. Thus her people interaction skill were at an all time low even in the fifth grade at brookshire. And no one really cared to interact with her either since they couldnt even get a slightly humane reply out of those dreadfully thin pale lips. But one friend shone through. Carry. and odd spelling of the name but she was an odd person. With buck teeth, stringy blonde hair, sunken electric blue eyes and red blotchy skin. She was one of the most beautiful people christine had ever met. (well atleast on the inside) she stayed with her through better and through worse. Even through christine's moods, when all she could get for a responce was "shut the heck up Carry." but she listened. And gosh did she get an earful. But that was what true friends were for. Adn Carry was a pretty dang true friend. And the two girls could go through school having an 'attitude' together. *not done yet. will finish after even more home work!*
  7. from LeMar

    Mirran Desmond

    Mirran is the son of the ruler of LeMar, casting him as the Crown Prince. He decides at a very young age (maybe six or seven) that he wants to take up the throne and continue in his father's footsteps. His personal life receives a blow at his mother's death, when Mirran is thirteen. He suffers greatly from this loss, entering his teens on such an ominous note. Mirran is not the kind of person to show how much he is suffering to others, so at this point, he comes off as kind but a little restrained at times.

    His last name means "gracious defender."

    Anna Marlon

    Anna grows up in and out of LeMar, as do all the people of the Immortal Land. When she returns from one of her experiences out of the country at the age of 13, she meets Mirran and develops feelings for him. They soon have to part because they each leave LeMar again, but every time they return, Anna seeks Mirran out, checking up on him and making sure he's okay. At the time of the story, Anna has known Mirran for about two years, but only in the spaces between their out-of-country experiences.

    She is the daughter of the king's chief falcon master. This adds the assumption that, even though her family is part of the king's court, Anna has had to work hard to be the person she is in the story.

    Her last name means "little falcon."

    Kristopher Riley

    Kris has a youth similar to that of Mirran and Anna. He is the son of one of the king's personal knights. Because he has lived very close to the palace during his times of return, Kris was inevitably able to meet Mirran. The two became fast friends at the age of 7, when they both first started sparring with wooden swords. Now, at the age of 15, the boys are some of the closest friends around. Kris's father jokes that they could be attached at the hip, if not for Anna tagging along now and then.

    His last name means "valiant."

    (I haven't really decided on my villain yet. But it'll be complicated too, I'll tell you that. lol)
  8. Evelyn:
    Her life can be broken down to 4 parts:
    1.) the Home Years: the first three years of her life she lived at Janvrin Manor.
    2.) the Earth Years: Years she lived peacefully on Earth.
    3.) the Forgotten Stage: the time she was missing along with her sister and they were thought to be dead.
    4.) the Chicago Years: the Years Ev lived in Chicago with her Nana and Great Uncle Jeri.

    Scarlett
    Like Evelyn's life up to the Traveling Years. She never returned from the Forgotten Stage. The rest of it consists of the Mirror Years where Ev can see her in the Mirror.

    Reuben
    His home life is longer then Ev & Scarlett's and while they were missing he lived in Chicago with Nana and Uncle Jeri - where he was trained to be King. When Ev returned he was 18 and he was appointed to be her legal guardian. They traveled together for awhile until he received a mysterious letter and sent Ev home. Then Oliver arrives at Nana's door and Reuben goes abroad to seek out answers.

    Nana
    Born in 1940s, she has had a pleasent life. She got married at a young age to a man she loved until he died. She had a fair amount of children and adopted many more afterwards. Her youngest biological child at the time the story begins is 18, her youngest adopted child is 13. She lives in Chicago with her best friends brother as a nanny for his great niece and nephew (aka Evelyn and Oliver) and other members of the family.

    Great Uncle Jeri
    Supposed to rule the Kingdom until Reuben takes his rightful place. He was banished from the Kingdom when Boniface took over; hence, moving to Chicago and becoming a magnificent book collector and the owner of a bookstore.

    Damian
    One of Nana's younger kids. Asa a child he was assigned to be a protector of the Dare Children. When his twin brother Cosmo disappeared he vowed to not let Ev do anything she wasn't supposed to do, like Scarlett did.

    Oliver
    He should have been born when Ev & Scarlett was four but because of weird timing his mother gave birth to him in the Kingdom and sent him to earth, but it was 6 years later so instead of being nine he was a newborn. He shows Ev the way into Janvrin Manor and can see weird things (like fairies & gnomes ect.)

    Boniface
    Youngest in the royal family, always felt under appreciated. He fell in love with _________, they got married and had two kids: J. Frank and Adrina. Then _________ died and Boniface, overcome by grief became evil and changed his name to the Ace of Spades. and then sought to take over the world.
  9. Obviously they'll all be introduced at different points, so...

    Ben Adamson

    Ben was born on, well, I guess the 17th August 1993 (same year as me, because it's easy.) His mother, Beatrice was half Italian and her father, Benvenuto, died during her pregnancy. She was a social worker and Ben's father had an office job in Dublin. At the time, they already had a six year old son called Ross.
    Ben had a typical Protestant Dublin up-bringing, and has always lived in the same house. Down the street lives his oldest friend, Mandy Woods, and all his other peers are close by, including Ritchie White, his male best friend. Ben's first proper girlfriend was Annie Price, of strawberry-blonde curls and long eyelashes at the age of fourteen. It lasted surprisingly long. Now his brother Ross is in college in England and Ben's in Transition Year in Freetown College, relaxing.

    Eleanor Amity Fortis

    Ellie's story begins on her birth, the First of June, the middle of the midwife festival. The festival, a yearly event, took place in the Palace, and old laws dictated that any children born in the palace in those days would go to work there when they're older. Sue Fortis returned home with the child. So Ellie spent seven years in the happy company of her elder sister Kathy, their friend Tom Crown the carpenter's son, and other village children like Alec and Serene De Pité in the town of Firstoak on the forest side of the Dusk Meadows. Then, at the tender age of seven, Ellie was sent to accompany the princess a little older than herself. She didn't see any of her family except her mother at the midwife festival for five years, until her and Kal first made their what would eventually be annual trip back to the Meadows.
    In the palace, Ellie's spent the whole time in blue, i.e., as one of Kal's servants, and made a strong bond with the footman Emmet who came as Kal's first male servant a few years later, as well as all the other young people who wait on and are company for Kal.

    Her Royal Highness Princess Kendra Adelaide Lucinda Artemis Regina Antoinette (KALARA)

    Kal's a princess. She's an only child. She should be spoilt, but surprisingly isn't. There isn't much of a story behind her life, except that her father is much older than her mother, and her mother a quiet, timid woman. She's spent her life being trained by a number of people to rule the country when she's older. A year and a half older than her best friend Ellie, Kal's life has forced her to grow up more quickly than the others.

    I'll do more later.

  12. Anna Claire Woods

    Anna was born on February 19th, 1986 in Nashville, USA. Her parents are Trudy and George Woods. When she was six years old, her family moved to Philadelphia, where she has lived ever since. She had a comfortable childhood and she was very popular with kids during her adolescence, although the audacity of her character caused her some conflicts. When she was at college, she met Keith Nicholson. Soon, they fell in love with each other and right now they are engaged.

    Keith Nicholson

    Keith was born on January 26th, 1986 in Birmingham, USA. There he led a normal, quiet life until the age of 16 when his parents decided to get a divorce. She always had a great relationship with her parents and they were both very proud of her. But it was not the same with her sister. Margaret always brought them more trouble, especially as she grew up. Margaret married at age 21 against her parents will and she never talked to them ever since. Although Margaret moved far away with her husband, Trudy's relationship with her did not change and they continue to see each other as often as they could.
    Trudy married when she was 24 with George Woods, with the total approval of her parents. In 1986, their daughter, Anna, was born. They moved to Philadelphia in 1992 and they've lived there since then. As Anna grew up, Trudy found her daughter's personality turned out to be very different from hers and none of them is willing to make an effort to get on well. Trudy is still very proud of her daughter and her relationship with her husband is just as she likes it, so she's very happy.

    Lucy Barnes

    Lucy was born on April 14th, 1987 in Birmingham, USA. She was an only child in a working class family. Her mother died of cancer when she was only eight years old. Soon after that her father, whose alcohol problem turned worse, began physically abusing her. Like this went Lucy's adolescence. 13. Marshall

    He was born in the US in 1995. His family was poor and they lived in quite a dangerous neighborhood. As a child he never had many friends. The only person he felt he could trust was his brother older Josh, with whom he got on really well and admired. When Marshall was a little kid, his father would usually be drunk and he'd get angry about anything and Josh always defended Marshall when this happened. Their father left their home when Marshall was six so he doesn't remember too much about him, anyway.
    Marshall's mother never played a very important role in his life. When he was a kid she would do anything so as not to fight with her husband. Marshall always resented her for never helping them. Then, when he grew up, they became less and less close to each other.
    Right before the story starts, Marshall is 15 and he has recently started going out with Mary Jane.

    Mary Jane

    She was born in America in 1995, but both her parents were born in Mexico. Since she was a very small child she always felt intimidated by anyone she didn't know, so she never had friends. When she was four, her mother died in a car accident. She has been able to cope with it during her life, although she never completely overcome it. It made even less prone to socializing. She only had one friend that she met in primary school whoose name was Shelly, but she moved to a different state whan they were 12.
    After her mother's death, her father became really over-protective with her, sometimes to the point he was too agressive. She doesn't complain anyway, and keeps making excuses for her father's behavior. It turned worse and worse as she grew up.

    Those are my MCs. I'll make the other ones later, I swear.

    Lila Winters

    When she was seven she was fooling around in the family stables (a major no no for young girls since this is set in the Victorian Era) when, while walking by a horse, she was kicked in the backof the head, disattaching the retina (I've been told a kick could do this but this is subject to change. If any of you out there know what kind of trama can permantly blind a person in one eye and be forced to wear an eyepatch, please tell me. Thank you :3). She wasn't trampled as her older brother Joel (at the time 13) saw her get kicked and carried her out of the way. Still, this was a serious dash to her self esteem as it is to her future as a wife to noblity. The Winters are of low English noblilty and since her parents consider her "defective" now that she can't see out of one eye...they don't have much hope for her, so they let her contine with her French lessons. Hence why Lila looks up to her older brother Joel, willing to go through the fires of hell for him. Lila also has feelings for Owen (not as strong as his though), though she knows its best not to act on them. Part of her still clings to blend into the crowd, something the out-going Irish man could possibly never do.

    Owen Massey

    He's next in line to become the Beta of his pack, his older brother to become the next Alpha. But Owen is far more rebellious then he should be, so the Belfast born and bred kid fled to England(he was so despearate to get away he was willing to suffer the racism/stereotypes against the Irish to do so) when he was 13, in the hopes his pack wouldn't follow him. The problem though was that as a young pup he wasn't used to being a wolf, and while hiding in the bushes he began to change. He heard a noise behind him and bared his fangs, running away. It was in mid run that he heard the kick and the scream of a little girl.

    Owen feels he's somehow to blame: perhaps the horse saw him rush by in the shadows mid transfornation and spooked? Either way, he goes to the Winters household with the intent of sneaking into the little girl's room and apologizing. Instead he runs into Joel Winters who claims Owen is of the supernatural. Joel Winters makes him an offer: become their servant and Owen's secret is safe. Threaten the Winters family in any way and Joel will have every hunter on Massey's trail. Now, at the start of the story ten years later, Owen and Joel are semi-friends (Owen doesn't quite trust Joel, even ten years later though the boys have grown up together), and his feelings for Lila have grown into full blown love.

    Joel Winters

    Unlike his younger sister who's been afflicted with blindness, Joel has a pretty average life...well, minus his fascination (or one might say obession) with the supernatural. He saw Owen transform and run past the horse, saw the horse kick his sister, and was able to save his sister but all in all...if you asked him, Joel would say that Lila's eye was no loss. Joel's obession started from when he could read to now, in his current delmia.

    Cecil Massey

    Owen's older brother who is currently the Alpha of the Irish wolves. The Massey brothers don't come from an abusive family or nothing of the sort. Save from the discrimination of the English, they've had a pretty average life...well, as average as you can have when you're a wolf. Cecil decides to go into England to find his little brother, at the request of their father who is currently on his death bed.

    Isabelle

    A 12yr old girl suffering from selective muteism. Her mother was a French prostitute. Her father a French customer. Isabelle was given the best her mother could give her before she died of syphillis when Isabelle was 8. Isabelle lived on the streets of Paris, her muteism growing worse, until she was found in the countryside, starved near to death, at the age of 10 by Acel.

    Acel Moreau

    The second love interest of Lila (Owen's competiton lol) is an easy going, insightful French shepherd. Where Owen can be brash, Acel is well spoken in his simple country way. He grew up with the sheep and lives with his mother and unlce. His father died of penumonia so Acel has had to be the "man of the house", espically since his unlce is crippled from years of service in the Frenh army. He took in Isabelle merely because the girl tugged at his heart like a tiny lamb, and he cares for her with fecority of a tigeress protecting her cub. At one point in time Acel was going to marry the local village elder's daughter until he was bitten by a wolf (Acel is the same age as Lila, 16. He was bitten when he was 15). To protect the elder's daughter he claimed he had another woman and begged his mother and unlce to do their wool trading at another village, to which they complied.

    In my story, if someone is bitten by a wolf, they run the risk of going insane from the constant mental changing from wolf to man. Someone who being a wolf is genetic, doesnt run this risk.
