Resources!

3 posts in this topic.

  1. If you have any resources for medieval studies of any kind, share them here! I'll start with a couple of my favorites:

The Geoffrey Chaucer webpage from Harvard! You can find line-by-line translations of the Riverside edition of The Canterbury Tales here, with the Middle English on top of a modern English translation.

Here, you can find a Middle English Dictionary! For those of us crazy enough to jump straight in to reading in ME.

    More to come!
  2. I have more, since no one's biting, here!

This one has the full text for several medieval texts - often via external links, and in several locations, too! - though I do take issue with their time period classifications ;)

There's also study guides, biographies, and a few other goodies, though oddly the Chaucer page doesn't link to the Harvard Chaucer website.

    Enjoy!
  3. No one else? I just found this marvelous site called The Labyrinth and I think I may be in love. Take a look around - lots and lots of information on multiple subjects within Medieval Studies! Though yes, some sections are more extensive than others.

I have writer's block. I can't write. It is the will of the gods. Now, I must alphabetize my spice rack.
