Lullaby's Valley of Words

2 posts in this topic.

  1. Creating a thread to post my poems in ☁️♡
  2. Prompt: March is a time of change. A change of seasons, new plants, different weather and if you're in certain parts of the world, new time.
So write about some sort of change. It can be like the ones I listed above or anything that speaks to your soul.

    Poem:
Have you ever seen the sun and all its glory
In winter, it still rose every dawn, and fell at dusk
But I feel it now again on my olive skin, soft and warm
There's a change in the air, a cheeriness of hope
This happens every year, we creatures of habit
A skip in our step, a longing to wake and play
I was gifted gladiolus bulbs, I’ll plant them soon
And as they grow into bright, colorful splendor
I, too, will appreciate this meaning of life
And welcome these changes, of seasons, of me

Too often we crave the extraordinary in life, without even learning how to cherish the ordinary first. Friend, I promise you this: if you can learn to take joy in the simple mundane things in life, the extraordinary will take care of itself, it'll be on its way, hurrying towards you. But if you skip the first part, it'll ever evade you.
