ha! managed to add onto my theme and find an equivalent for journal. or maybe i should have gone with log?
10 goals for the month
1. at least 30 poems
2. at least 1 a day
3. maybe 2 a day honestly
4. write that gosh darn abcedarian i designed in my mind this morning. it was good but it was also bad, but i'm gonna write it anyways.
5. generally, write some structures i don't write in often.
6. maybe capitalize some of those "I"s.
look there's one. now i'm done for the month.
7. write some more food poems
8. follow through with the animal idea
dancing bears in tutus
lizards breathing fire and cooking eggs
me to my priest: no i don't use drugs, stop asking that man
9. maybe some more ranting religious poems. those were fun times.
10. watch the rest of bates motel instead of writing that one poem about that thing with me and the lighters at the bottom of my purse.
comment to your heart's delight darlings.
i'll work on my inspiration posts later.
90/100 inspiration found so far
side challenge is to write a poem for every piece of inspo
which means 100 poems this month
which means i might be crazy but i still feel like doing it

5 things from poems

Across open oceans and
boring, lonely shores, she
calls to me, sitting all alone.
Demanding my praise,
each and every day.
Forgetting that I have
gone, that I am now
home. All alone up there
in the sky.

She danced with the grace of a ballerina,
and I stumbled behind on the broken road with no lantern.
There was no light for me to see, it had already been smashed,
like my love was when the car ran the red light.

the flamingo knows how to fight the fairies
fighting is what we do best
light powers against the dark that strike us down
am I ready for another round it hell
maybe but maybe not, we'll just have to see
i like to fight the fairies and the flies
not you, why can't you see that
got to go now, guess i scared you away
on my own now, like i always have and always will be

5 things from prose

The marshals soon realized there was no way to explain why they were in the graveyard, digging up the pine box at 3 in the morning. The stress was getting to them and it certainly wasn't helped by the groundskeeper's wife holding the shot gun.
2.Spoiler
Patience was a virtue, but she wasn't one of the originals, so she stayed home with the dark creatures, while her family went off to hunt.
3.Spoiler
Dawn drew a small pistol from under neath her skirt and ditched her heels as she ran back through the train cars, finding the loose window in the lavatory quite open and Rose Saunder quite dead.

The memory was old but the man walking down the stairs in a gray Confederate was clear as it could be. He had no name and no voice, simply leading you inside, flipping on a light to illuminate the dusty room. With a swipe of his hand, you watched all of the candles light up around the room. From the corners of the room and the ceiling, came different figures, dressed in different eras of clothing and their bodies in different conditions.

While Lee demanded to Davis that this "wretched woman" be thrown out of the meeting, Richards watched her. Her hand moved towards the gun on her hip, which was then moved to the side of the guard who had arrested her. He thought he should do something, but by the time the movement was made, the shot had already rung out.

All the Inspo! Part 3!
5 should be related to emotions, ideas, or imagery such as comments about landscapes, thoughts on things you hate, or love, a written out expression of emotion, and so forth.
5 things on love and hate
1. i really love some music in one genre and then there's some that i really hate. and that's something that just happens in the world, here's one category with one thing you like and one you don't. even with the negative thing, you'll still profess to loving the category, which makes for the strong emotions needed in a poem.
2. there's also the feeling of 'love', which if it's actually executed properly, is a very strong emotion. but it's something that has been made cheap by centuries of overuse, where now it's something written on a candy heart or a comment about some health food you had once.
i hate the modern use of the word 'love'.
3. i also people saying "poetry doesn't have rules" and even though so many people have made humor poetry about that, i want to do that one as well.
4. i have a love/hate relatonship with humor poetry, because most of the time it's not executed very well. i include myself in the reason for hating it, because my humor poems are touch and go.
5. my love for food.
5 pieces of imagery descriptions
1. flying over the strips of golden deserts, where for hundreds of miles there was nothing but sand, and the landscape was just empty. there was nothing there and it left room for the imagination to think about was once there, the people and the plants and the animals that might have existed eras ago.
2. the graveyard that stretches as far as the eye can see. there is no beginning and there is no end, not one that is clearly defined, and provides the symbolism for the people who are resting here.
3. two southern live oaks that stretch together in an arch over the dirt road, one of many pairs that are lined up along the path.
4. the crane that rests by the water's edge with its dinner, feeding it to the chicks flanking its side. the little chicks are covered with a fluffy gray feathery fuzz.
5. this cow i saw chasing a horse around a field and the horse finally gave up and let the cow stand next to it.
5 ideas for centers that have stuck with me a long time
1. rosette spoonbills
2. flamingos
3. cake
4. key lime pie
5. donkeys
5 things i'd like to make into poems this year in general
1. i'd like to rewrite my 'lamb of god' short from the olympics, into a sort of prose poetry, because of the nature of the original inspiration.
2. the donkey abcedarian idea
3. some memes
4. a poem to aley about why i don't feel like doing poetry
5. something sarcastic -
