  1. I'm going to set 100 words a day for now, simply because my two completed novels are/will be going through editing which I plan to do every day. I always set lower than I believe I can archive so that I don't get downhearted if I fail and can use how much more I have done as motivation. I'm currently writing my screenplay, My Taken Right, and the second book to Knowing gods. I also have a newer book called Beat Again but I think I need to plan that some more but we will see.
  2. Yesterday I wrote 900 words for my screenplay which was for scene 4 and 5. Scene 6 has already been completed so I'm moving on to scene 7. I'm hoping this scene will be about 400 to 500 words maybe more and I'm going to be rewriting some of chapter 6 for the first Knowing gods. I'll update you later to see how that's going ^_^
  3. This is the last scene from Act 1 of My Taken Right. Because of how late it is in the screenplay it won't make much sense. This whole scene was written today and was a total of 631 words.

    Act 1 Scene 7

LILY walks back into the room, trying not to draw the attention of Damien who is currently talking to FRANCESA on the other side of the room. SEBASTIAN is pouring out drinks by the sink, he is only a meter away from LILY.

    LILY
    (whispers)
    Sebastian

    SEBASTIAN

    (laughing)
Lily, what have told you, call me Seb.

    LILY

I really need to talk to you. Well, no, Will needs to talk to you. He needs to tell you something really important.

SEBASTIAN notices how serious LILY is. He quickly follows her from the room. DAMIEN hasn’t turned around.

LILY enters WILLIAM’s bedroom followed by SEBASTIAN. WILLIAM is sat on his bed, his head in his hands. His shoulders shake slightly as he hears the door close.

    SEBASTIAN

    (SEBASTIAN stares at WILLIAM)
    Will, what’s up?
(SEBASTIAN sits down beside WILLIAM. He realises WILLIAM is crying. His expression becomes intensely worried. SEBASTIAN pulls WILLIAM close to his chest)
    Will, why are you crying?
    (WILLIAM doesn’t answer)
    Lily, what’s going on?

    LILY

(LILY sits on WILLIAM’s opposite side on the bed)
    You need to tell him.
(WILLIAM begins to sob, LILY sighs, leaning over to clutch WILLIAM’s hand)
He’s really scared that you won’t believe what he has to tell you.

    SEBASTIAN

    (appalled)
    I would never do that.
    (turning to WILLIAM)
    Look at me.
    (WILLIAM looks up)
You are my son, I will always believe in you. Okay?

WILLIAM’s eyes begin to fill with tears, he nods.

    WILLIAM

It’s about uncle. He did something to… to me.

SEBASTIAN’s eyes widen and he holds WILLIAM even closer to him.

    SEBASTIAN

    Did he hit you?

    WILLIAM

    No...
(WILLIAM takes a deep steadying breath, he shakes vigorously despite this. He struggles to say what happened to him)
    He…
    (Sobs)
    He raped me.

WILLIAM is overcome with his emotions and sinks further into his SEBASTIAN’s arms, burying his face into his father’s neck. SEBASTIAN is overwhelmed, for many minutes he stares at WILLIAM as if at a loss for words. The words finally sink in and his expression fills with anger and sadness.

    SEBASTIAN

    It’s okay. Shh.
    (SEBASTIAN rubs WILLIAM’s back)
    Tell me everything.

The scene changes back to the kitchen. SEBASTIAN enters, followed by LILY and WILLIAM. WILLIAM eyes are puffy and old tears stain his face. LILY holds him to her side, her head resting on his arm. SEBASTIAN’s face becomes red and his mouth turns into a snarl as his eyes fall on DAMIEN.

    SEBASTIAN

    (through gritted teeth)
    Damien.

ROBERT, DAMIEN, FRANCESA and ELEANOR all turn to look at SEBASTIAN. They look at him with a mixture of confusion and fear. FRANCESA spots WILLIAM and rushes to his side.

    FRANCESA

    (cupping his face)
    My baby, what’s wrong?

ROBERT and ELEANOR follow FRANCESA, worry masking their faces. SEBASTIAN and DAMIEN as left alone in the centre of the room. Understanding flickers through DAMIEN’s eyes.

    SEBASTIAN

    (shouting)
How dare you, how dare you come into my home, with that smug look of your, after what you have done!

DAMIEN looks away from SEBASTIAN to glare at WILLIAM. SEBASTIAN takes the opportunity to pin DAMIEN to the wall.

    DAMIEN

    (shouting)
Get off! Sebastian! Let me go! I’m your brother, for goodness sake.

    SEBASTIAN

When you hurt my son, you stopped being my brother.

    DAMIEN

    What are you talking about?

    SEBASTIAN

He told me everything you did to him. How you abused him, how you manipulated him into never speaking about it. I know everything so don't try to play innocent with me.

FRANCESA looks at WILLIAM as fresh tears run down his face. She holds him tightly to her, rubbing WILLIAM’s back. ROBERT and ELEANOR continue to stare at SEBASTIAN and the DAMIEN in complete shock.

    SEBASTIAN
    Robbie
(ROBERT snaps out of his daze)
    Can you call the police?
  4. I almost forgot to update this :D So today I simply worked on rewriting for the 5th chapter of Knowing gods. I can't give an accurate number of words but it was about 300.
  5. Today I wrote 224 words for Knowing gods second book.

“I hate Lucifer! Why does he have to exist.” I ranted as I paced across the room.

Adonai’s eyes followed me as I tried to release my angry on the floor. “Because balance has to exist.”

“I still hate me, he’s the epitome of evil,” I said, turning back to him. Adonai patted the seat next to him.

“He wasn’t always like that,” he said as I sat beside him on the sofa. “He used to be a very kind boy but the years rotted his heart.”

“It sounds like you knew him well,” I muttered sceptically.

He smiled but it didn’t reach his eyes as he said, “Better than anyone.

An awkward silence permeated the room. I stared at the floor, pressing my finger into the sofa.

    “Should I go?”

“No, no,” he murmured, placing his hand on mine. “Talking about it brings up so many memories.”

I frowned, did Lucifer once live in Sarana? Did Adonai spend a lot of time with him? The very thought sent through my spine.

Adonai watched me carefully, his facial muscles were tense beneath his golden skin. When he spoke his voice held an air I had never heard from him before. A lifelong pain brought back to the surface. “I guess your parents haven’t told you yet?”

    “Told me what?”

    “Lucifer… is my little brother.”
  6. Okay, today's total was 380 words for the second Knowing Gods book, following on from my previous post. I would show you what I have done but it's mostly just speech with no description of who's speaking or anything so I feel better not.
  7. So today, I wrote 273 words of something, I don't really know what to class it as but yeah, it's a little random.

I am your daughter, you are my dad and this is something I wrote just for you, my deadbeat father.

It has been 8 years since I saw your face, 7 since I heard your voice. We went to see you every year where once it had been every month. You slowly crept up the country while we stayed put as if to shy away from your responsibilities.

You say I should have been the one to try but tell me what a 12-year-old child should have done. I was too busy with friends and a new school to noticed something that had been missing for a long time. You said you wrote us poems as if they were would act as plasters but words contain lies and emotions can be faked. Words don’t mend broken heart when behind them is nothing but dust and decay. You claimed your dogs were your babies. And maybe they were, for you handled them with more care, while you tore fragile young hearts apart with your distant and indifference.

Do even love me as only a father could? Does “daughter” mean anything to the man who is meant to care for me? But the main question on my mind is does it make my heart break to know I am unloved by you? I suppose it once did, moments of mental unrest can be traced back to you and your activity in my life. Or should I say lack of? Now, I am the ruler of my own heart but times like right now, your memory slips back into my mind to cause me pain like you once did.
  8. Okay, today I wrote 454 words for the fourth chapter of Knowing Gods second book.

“Tesia, can you call the other archangels to the meeting room. Oh, hello Phoenix. The exact person I needed, you can relay the meeting to your parents. Come on!”

As quickly as he had entered, he was gone, leaving me, Tesia and Michael staring at the doorway in disbelief. Looking at each for a few moments, we quickly set about our tasks. I followed Adonai further down the tower while Tesia and Michael awoke the others.

The meeting room was a large oval spaced room, also completely white apart with the occasional gold or purple tile and a circular oak table. It sat in the centre of the room, probably 4 meters long. On its surface there was a small model of the universe, mapping out the galaxies and all its worlds. Scattered across it were figurines from varying races and abilities, from upotoian warlocks to the shapeshifters of Joan. It told whoever looked upon it the state of our universe. The red oak figures were Lucifer’s forces, the blue pine figures being Adonai’s. There were no figures for Alara but then my people could be found on every world with some form of life. So basically every world.

The door opened on the other side of the room and 6 archangels entered the room. Tesia came first, taking her rightful place beside Adonai while Michael took his side at his other side. Gabriel came to stand beside his brother, his eyes narrowed and his hair ruffled. Clearly, someone had been enjoying a pleasant sleep. Alright for some. Raphael came to stand beside me, smiling as our eyes meet.

“I have just come from the ward,” he said aloud, his voice joyful. “Mrs Parkinson have just had a healthy baby boy.”

Adonai’s eyes light up, “Excellent news. I will have to visit and give the family my congratulations.”

He looked back down as Raziel shuffled slowly into the room. And then there was Azazel, the archangel of death, the strangest one of all of them. Most times I had seen him, he had been wearing his cloak hood up but in the company of his fellows it remained down. His skin was a sickly grey, like old ash, his eyes completely white. He was literally death incarnated, a bag of bone and skin given life and free thoughts. Because to look upon the dead was to surrender your life. Therefore, the keeper of the dead had to be dead themselves.

Looking at him, you probably wouldn’t think he looked like an archangel apart from the sooty black wings that rose from his back. They were completely opposite from the rest of him, they were healthy and strong, each feature looked soft and silky.
  9. Today I continued to work on the section I started yesterday, this simply leads on and signifies the end of the fourth chapter. This section came to a total of 562 words.

“Okay,” Adonai finally announced, pulling me from my thoughts, “I have a possible solution to our newest problem. I needed to consult with all you, to make sure it is a viable option. Plus, I have been staring at a piece of paper for way too long.”

He laughed sheepishly, rubbing the back of his neck. Adonai really was a dork at heart.

“What do you suggest, my lord?” Tesia coaxed.

    “Oh, yeah. Where was I?”

“You were just beginning.” Tesia sighed as Gabriel tapped his foot against the floor and Michael glared at his brother.

“Yes, the plan,” Adonai breathed, flicking through the pages in front of him. “Right, I talked to Mother Nature a few days prior and said I had the Alarians behind. It got me thinking about how I could get them to help us. Phoenix, how many soldiers do you have?”

“400 in total, 150 archers, 100 swordsmen and the rest are trained in both as well as healing.”

“Right, I’m going to take a hundred of the soldiers, I don’t want to leave Alara in any way defenceless. Once they are here I’m going to attach them to members serving outside of Polyandrium. They will be there to add extra protection, their skills of stealth and survival will come in handy.”

“We can’t let Lucifer catch wind of Alaraian’s aid. He might decide to wage war them once again and with fewer people they will be at a serve disadvantage,” Michael analysed. He rubbed his fingers against his chin, deep in thought.

While the others had been talking, I had been thinking about all possible options and scenarios. When my brain could fathom no more I spoke.

“I’ll discuss with father and mother who we will choose. The healers have magic abilities, they will be able to distort their image, the non-healer will have to be paired with witches or wizards to do the same. As not to draw attention to their sudden arrival we could stagger the times they arrive. The other option is to have them take on different appearances when outside the home and make them blend in with society.”

“It would work in cities and high populated area, ones that live in less populated areas would probably need to be staggered.” Michael agreed.

Tesia nodded in response, “We’ll have to figure out who is more of a priority now. Most of the missing are from the lower levels of the shining downpour, therefore they are most likely most convenient targets.”

The ragged voice filled the room, like someone forcing themselves to speak past a really bad sore throat. It was only until I looked to the right that I realised who was speaking.

    Azazel.

“What will we do about the missing? I have not seen their spirits have passed through my sanctum. They must be alive.”

    “Phoenix,” Adonai whispered.

“We can hopefully sort that out. I’m proposing an idea at this weekend’s meeting and one of the new objectives has to do with the missing. If they are being turned into demons, Uri suspects they will only be on the third stage. The 6th stage is the one we need to be worried about, it’s where Lucifer gets involved and adds the compulsion into the finished demon. Unfortunately, once each stage is complete there is no turning back, they will be demons forever.”
  10. So today's total word count was 323 words and I continued on to chapter 5 of the book I have been working on the past couple of days.

Like all the previous next since it had begun, I found myself in the all too familiar clearing. The memory continued with much thought, after the first couple of nights, there wasn’t much more to explore. There was only so far I could go from Uri before I met a memory wall. Instead, I sat there watching Uri as a small child. He was much the same as when we were children, his smile, the way he talked, the way he walked. The only difference was how much happy he was here, around his people, then he had ever been in any of the lives we had lived together.

The older days had been worse than our most recent together. Uri had often found himself in orphanages, unloved and treated badly by everyone. In some of the lives, even I had rejected in my ignorance. I mentally shook myself, I hated those memories.

“Mamma, are you ready to pop yet?” came Uri sweet childlike voice from with the mass of his mother’s clothes.

“A few more hours and your sister will arrive, are you excited, sweet one?”

I sighed, thankful that the dream would be ending but as I waited, it didn’t. There was no pulling sensation, or dizzying or anything. I felt as solid as solid as I always did.

    Bang!

Screams filled the air from the southern side of the tribe, not far away from where I sat sitting. I bolted up just like everyone as something appeared around the corner of the tents. It looked like an ordinary man, but his very being made me hiss.

    Damien.

“Hello cutie,” he purred, catching sight of the nearest, prettiest young man. “Come here.”

The girl stayed where she was, gazing at Damien like he was some bizarre creature. Damien’s expression contorted, his eyes narrowing and pearly white fangs glinted in the firelight.

“You know, it’s rude to ignore people,” he hissed.
  11. Today's instalment is 400 words. Again, this continues on from the previous post.

He grabbed her, dragging her from her sisters. She screamed. Trying to get away, his very aura shouted at her to run. I started to move forward, rushing to her aid. But I had forgotten that what I was watching were events that lived far in the past. I tried to summon a tornado in my palm. It sizzled and disappeared. I stared at my palm in disbelief. It was basic magic since I had mastered I had never failed in creating one.

When I regained my composure, Damien had dragged the girl into the middle of the tent-circle. Demons had appeared too, growling and hissing at the people. Their expressions were horrified, they had clearly never seen a demon before. I began to move again, my heart racing. Please let nothing happen, I begged. But I knew something would, and to who. Still, I couldn’t sit still and do nothing. I was a demi-goddess, surely I could do something. My magic wasn’t working so on to plan B. As I neared Damien, I twisted putting power into my heel. It was perfect, father would have been proud but my foot just slipped through Damien's head. I landed, knees bent, fingers digging into the dirt.

That was when Lucifer appeared, his skeletal just showing through the darkness of his hood. When all people had been pushed and hauled into the centre. People gawked at the strange man before them, none probably realised he was a god or what would happen to them. His presence to me meant only one thing. Death and demons.

Lucifer waltzed through the crowd, surveying every face. He stopped when his eyes, well sockets, fell on Uri. Hidden behind his mother’s skirt and father’s solid leg, only his bright red eyes could be seen.
His fingers moved indicating where Uri stood to the demons by his side. Borak and Clay stumbled stood, clearly more dumb than before, grabbing Uri roughly by the arm. Before they could pull him away, a bright glow formed before the. Uri’s father stood, cover from head to toe in fire.

“Get go of my son, you demons!”

His war cry sounded through the tribe, energising the hunters in the crowd. They lunged forward, taking on the demons around them. The air sizzled as fire met water and earth shook while the air whirled. Demons went down but as they fell more launched forward, stepping over their lesser.
  12. Today I did a total of 620 words. This is two scenes from the very end of the book I'm working on because I don't really write in order.

[quote]“Borak, Clay perform it now,” he said, a sick grin spreading across his face, “You should remember this, my little red haired traitor. I distinctly remember you screaming for your mummy when we performed it on you. How sweet…”

Uri moved, eyes wide as he started at Lucifer. He turned to me, “Phoenix! We need to stop him. He going to use compulsion on him. He won’t come back from that, Lucifer’s had too long to perfect it since mine wore off.”

I lunged forward, aiming for Borak who stood chanting in front of Pegasus but in instead my hand met a dark barrier. Lucifer’s skull face appeared behind it a few seconds later. I continue to kick and punch and throw my magic at it. Nothing worked, all it archived was amusing Lucifer.

“You try to challenge a God, you’re not even fully trained,” he chortled, sending out tentacles of darkness. I dodged as best I could but before long one hit me square in the chest. I was flung back, saved from hitting the ground by Uri.
“You okay?” he said, helping me up.

My answer was irrupted by the sound of heavily armoured warriors approaching.

“Phoenix!” My father called, “What’s going on?”

“He’s got Peggie. He performing a compulsion spell on him.”

“Jade? Let’s go. Uri… make sure my daughter stays here.”

“I can look after myself!” I called after them but they were already concentrating on the battle ahead. All I could do was watch the gods battle.

My mother had disappeared somewhere, Lucifer didn’t seem to have noticed her. All his attention was on my father, his elemental beasts surrounding him, his broadsword drawn. Lucifer had taken the barrier down, clearly knew he had met his match. Then the battle began, they ran at each other, war cry’s splintering the air. The clashes of sword against solid darkness rung high and loud.

Suddenly they stopped. There were no outward marks but Lucifer was bleeding from his eyes and mouth. That was when I saw my mother behind, palm placed on Lucifer back, counter healing magic crackling at her fingers. Borak and Clay gawked at their master, their mission forgotten. I moved forward to my brother but stopped when my eyes fell on Lucifer. My eyes widen when I took in his appearance.

“Your mother shattered his concentration, his skeletal illusion is gone,” Adonai spoke from behind me.

He wasn’t joking when they said they looked alike. It almost like looking at a mirror image of Adonai. However the hair was neat, the grey eyes filled with hatred. That hatred grew more intense when Lucifer took in his appearance.

    ~

I stood there as he fell. Everything felt like it was in slow motion, the beating of my heart, the rate at which he fell, the life draining from his eyes. The moment ended as a thump reach my ears. He laid on the ground so helpless and young, no evil in his eyes. I fell to my knees beside his body, tears streaming down my face as the battle continued to rage. The tears splashed down on his slowly cooling skin as I mourned a brother I had regained and then cruelly lost again.

“Peggie,” I cried as pushed his hair away from his face. “Why? Why do you always have to leave me when I need you? Please come back, please.”

“Phoenix, come on,” Uri pleaded, pulling at my arm while his eyes stayed on the battle.

“Get away from us! You killed him!”

“This is not the time to mourn. We have a battle to win. Do you want to see everyone you love die around you?” He shouted but I wasn’t listening anymore.[quote]
  13. Okay, today's total was just under 200 words. Again two scenes, both connect to the ends of the previous ones.

“Filthy, disgusting,” he hissed. His glared swept across the gathering crowd and halted once it reached its target. “I guess it’s no longer a secret. I have a disgusting, pure big brother.”

“It’s been a while, Lucifer,” Adonai breathed.

“It’s been a while, Lucifer. Don’t.” Lucifer spat. “Well, you lost either, nice attempt.”

“What do you mean?” I shouted.

“Your brother was gone before your parents even arrived.” He chortled.

“Pegasus!” I ran to him, elbowing Borak and Clay out of the way. I held his face between my hands and stared into his eyes. “Peggie, Peggie, are you okay? Please tell me you’re okay.”

Those green eyes stared back at me, as blank as a doll.

    ~
Fire erupted around us, circling and lifting into a domed shape around us. Uri knelt before, soaking his hand against my tear stained cheek.
“You sound be safe in this.” He whispered as fresh tears began to fall again. “Just remember that I love you.”

He lifted my head and leant forward to touch his lips to mine. He was gone before I could utter his name. I watched as his figure disappeared from the fire.
  14. Okay, so today's total was 244 words. This continues with chapter 5 and is also the end of the chapter. I don't know how much I will be able to do after today but I hope I can be just as consistent.

Their assault continued until there was no one left standing. Corpses littered the ground, blood oozed across the ground, joining together so no ground peeked through. Moans occasionally shattered the silence but even they disappeared. Uri stared down at his father’s still body, tears spilling down his face as he took in the massive cut along his father’s chest. He looked away before he could take in anymore more detail. He began to desperately search the bodies for his mother but he could see no fiery, swollen-bellied woman.

I watched helplessly as Borak dragged Uri, the scream of “mummy” filling the air. He struggled against the demon but all it serve was to steal away his energy. My stomach retched as Lucifer kneeled in front of him and began to murmur word that made bile rise in my throat. He was turning Uri into a demon.

I woke up gasping for air.

    “Ah!” I screamed. “Uri!”

“I’m here, shh” Uri whispered, soaking my hair behind my ear.

I leaned into him, grateful that he was with me. We sat in silence for a few minutes as the quivers and shakes disappeared.

    “You okay?”

“Yeah, I’m better now,” I said.

    “A bad dream?”

I looked into his eyes and saw his younger self, his father’s lifeless body, his mother’s face and I knew. Knew I couldn’t say anything because the pain it would cause would be too great to bear.

    “Yeah, just bad dream.”
  15. Okay, today I wrote 225 words for chapter 7 and managed to complete it.

    “Well, maybe you’re his exception.”

    Uri laughed, “Yeah, clearly.”

“He had a suitor in mind for his only daughter. Probably Oak, if I knew Ash well enough. Strong, trained in the way of a warrior, intelligent and Alaraian. He will take time to come around, maybe never will. He hears demon and thinks enemy.”

    “Doesn’t everyone?” Uri sighed.

Adonai didn’t answer but they both knew the answer. Wherever he went, Alara or Sarana, people stared at him. Young children were curious about strange being in their midst, their parents fearful that the monster might tear out their throat. Even the angels weren’t much better, some had known of his existence.

Uri looked around, the garden that surrounded the tower was a haven away from the busy lifestyle of Sarana. Phoenix would have loved to be here, amongst the perfect nature so different from her wild homeland. The trees grew pink blossoms, not unlike a sakura tree. They fell and were swept through the air, littering the sky with pink stars. A water fountain gushed not far from where they sat, it’s constant noise helped to relax him.

“Phoenix told me she’s having dreams about my past before Lucifer attacked my tribe,” Uri said.

    “Has she seen everything?”

“No, I don’t think so but it’s only a matter of time until she finds out the truth.”

This looks like a really bad episode of Green Acres.
