PS: Jesus don't care if you can't sing. So sing!

    Why Shakespeare? ;)

    Midnightmoon replied · May 2, 2017

I don't know. I just really like it. It's either that, newsies or phantom of the opera

    crobbins replied · May 2, 2017

Ahhhh I feel you!! My school's doing Twelfth Night in a week and I couldn't join and I'm jealous lol

    Midnightmoon replied · May 3, 2017

Yeah! Every year in summer this group of actors called Shakespeare in the parks comes and does a Shakespeare play. It's awesome! Have to be twenty one to audition though.

I think we mostly hang out and talk about plays we've been in/plays we've seen/plays we'd like to see or be in.

Pretty much sums it up. ^
    Welcome to the club!

    Hello fellow theater-goer

  • CarolineNaveen
Hey Friends! I got my start on YWS and am now working full time in theatre and film and am about to start a production company. Do any of you like writing scripts and want some help with development? Looked on here for some new work in that area, but there have not been any new posts in a long time! Let me know!

    JustALittleBarry replied · Mar 21, 2017

Yes, that sounds awesome! I would love to try to help out in any way possible!

    crobbins replied · May 2, 2017

Don't know if you still need some people, but I'd love to help! I'm cool with doing behind-the scenes stuff, not really script writing but I'd love to help you organize in any way I can!!!! If you still need someone I'm open!

We just finished our school play last week. Advice: be excited.

    JustALittleBarry replied · Mar 10, 2017

Haha, I'll do my best! What play did you do?

    Saruka replied · Mar 10, 2017

It was called The Curse Of The Cobra's Kiss. It was a murder mystery comedy (set in the 1920s) with a different murderer each night. What musical are you doing?

    JustALittleBarry replied · Mar 10, 2017

Sounds cool! We're doing Legally Blonde.

    God, I'm so sad.

Tonight was the last showing of our school production of Bye Bye Birdie (if you're curious, I was Mr. Macafee).

What sucks is that it was my last middle school play. I've been in all three during my time in the middle school, so this being the last one is extremely sad.

A lot of people were crying backstage, but I was heartless and didn't cry. However, it still makes me extremely depressed that it's the end, and that a lot of my Drama Club friends will be off in different schools. I'll still see them, but I won't get to act alongside them.

I was the same when my school had the last showing of Grease. It was my last school production and so many of my friends were in it so it was like saying goodbye as it was the last thing we did at school before leaving for uni.

    BluesClues replied · Feb 26, 2017

I know those feels. Except actually our director liked to do things to *make* everyone cry after dress rehearsal.

Well, we're officially three weeks away from our production of Bye Bye Birdie! We've already sold half of the tickets. Rehearsals after this point become quite tiresome, and today I'm shopping for a costume. I'll be playing Mr. Macafee.
