Kate and Iris stand around awkwardly, waiting to receive their schedules, while Mercy wanders the courtyard, looking for someone to talk to.

((Can I use medieval characters here or do I need to shift some to modern-day?))

((Any era is fine))

((coolio))
An orange-haired ice-blue-eyed girl of maybe 17 finds herself against the wall next to Kate and Iris as she awaits her schedule. Being socially awkward, she glances at them but remains silent as she shifts sheepishly. -
Mercy walks up and begins to speak quickly. "Hi, I'm Mercy and these are my sisters, we're new here, what about you?"
She pauses for breath.
Kate and Iris look at each other, amused. They used to find Mercy's enthusiasm annoying, but after thinking she was dead for two years, they can tolerate her quirks. -
"I'm Tasha," she answers. "I'm new." In her voice a guttural accent can be heard. It isn't as thick as it once was, but it is still pronounced.
-
Everyone's schedules come falling down in the form of poorly-made paper airplanes. Mercy unwraps hers first. "My first class is trigonometry. And it starts...five minutes ago!" She runs off.
Kate glances at her paper. "Target practice." She smiles, a rare expression for her.
Iris stares at her paper in confusion and doesn't say anything. -
"Um..." Tasha just stares down at the page blankly.

I walked up to the other people, looking at my schedule. This would be my first time among normal people.
I was quaking in my sneakers.
"Umm... Hi. Which classroom is Geometry in?"
Good- a half normal conversation start.
(Guess who it is? Chessy's back. Everything's the same from Introductions except she hides her ears under a headband, has removed her tail and whiskers, and has blue colored contacts over her eyes. Instead of the corset outfit she's wearing a yellow T-shirt and jeans that don't fit her well. She seems off-kilter and out of touch.) -
((Does she still smell like a cat-person? From like a dog's point of view?))
Tasha glances up. "I'm not sure." She continues scowling at her paper. -
(Probably)
"Do you need help with your schedule?" I asked curiously. -
She doesn't answer for a moment, then looks up. "Um, yeah...See, I...um, well, no one ever...I can't read."
-
"Oh. I'd offer to teach you but I think I'd make a really bad teacher. Ummm... May I see it?"
-
Tasha hands it to her silently.
