Surviving NaNo

2 posts in this topic.

  1. I've never really had much trouble with NaNo in the past. I'd just sit down and words would pour out onto the page. This year is a bit different and I find myself lacking the usual interest I have in my novels. Everything I've ever known about writing during the month of November has gone out the window. I know there are more of you out there in a similar situation.

So help us out! What is it that keeps you motivated? How do you get yourself to start writing and then actually reach your goal for the day? Most importantly, what kind of junk food keeps the mind going and the fingers typing?
  2. just 300 more words and then I can sleep.
just 300 more words and then I can sleep.
just 300 more words and then I can sleep.
just 300 more words and then I can sleep.

    (just keep saying that. :p)

I have lived through much, and now I think I have found what is needed for happiness. A quiet secluded life in the country, with the possibility of being useful to people to whom it is easy to do good... then rest, nature, books, music, love for one's neighbor - such is my idea of happiness.
