Introduce us to your main characters, I'd love to hear all about them, what makes them tick, what they look like.

Tell us all about them -
Pip Starsfall - half English, half Spanish (or well, half Berinish, half Gaspan). Tall, brown hair skin and eyes, great cheekbones. Good looking and he knows it. Utterly pleasant, charming, flirtatious. Has never done a hard days' work in his life. Pip is spoiled but he has a huge heart. And he falls in love very easily. He has a reputation as a heart breaker but he doesn't mean to be. He genuinely loved every girl he ever professed to love. There's just a lot of them. Most of all though, he loves his sisters. He'd do anything for them.
Milady - Milady is a giant spider. Okay - she's a great sorceress trapped inside the immortal body of a giant spider. Milady tries hard to retain her humanity but it's difficult. Even as a human she was thorny, she flies into fits of rage easily. She's a killer when she needs to be. She uses most of her energy emitting a psychic field, giving herself the power to see the lives of everyone in the village (and sending Pip dreams of his family), keeping the servants glued to the walls of her house alive and occasionally using what little real magic she has left to make gifts for villagers. When not on a murderous rampage or being an arachnid voyeur, Milady likes to spin pretty webs in her tower that catch the starlight.
Hannah - Hannah is 16 and pregnant and a ghost. Meant to be part of the spell that bound Milady's servants to the walls of the manor, her foetus kept her body alive and Hannah got the worst of both worlds. She is a corporeal ghost - grey and transparent but still physically there and able to touch things - and all the servants' words and thoughts are inside her brain. All the time. They can really get her down. When not tortured by the voices in her head, Hannah is bright and eternally optimistic - and can't wait for this spell to break so she can finally have her baby.
Stephen Okayama - a hot Japanese footman. Or would be, were he not in fact, a wall.
Cate Starsfall - Pip's dirty blonde tomboy eldest sister. Heir to the family fortune. Or what's left of it. Matter of fact, no nonsense. Her fiancé left her when they lost their money. She didn't take it well.
Mari Starsfall - with her mother's black hair and her father's green eyes, Mari was the quarry of many a Gerginham bachelor's pursuit. Pity she's gay. Beautiful, confident, warm, and a great singer.
Laina Redforge - nicknamed Beauty, Laina is a warm and loving Godsdagger girl. Obviously Pip falls for her. She's frank and straightforward, and busy caring for her younger siblings.
Chris Rickards. A Lord. Pip's best friend from the city. They went to university as terrible students together. An absolute snob, Chris has never paid much attention to how the other side lives. But he's loyal to Pip to a fault. Extremely dry wit, fond of a drink and brothels. He doesn't care that Pip is now penniless - but he does care that it would seem his best friend is abandoning him. What's university without someone with whom to share it?
