   Hi! I'm super new to composing and I love it so much, but it's also kind of scary because I don't know much about it and I don't know anyone IRL who likes to compose.
   
   So... do you compose music? What instruments? How do you structure the songs? How do you get inspiration? How do you record your songs?

   Ok I don't know that I'd even call myself a composer because all I do it find a chord progression I like that goes with the lyrics/words I'm feeling. Song writing for me is such a spur of the moment kind of thing. I typically come up with the chords and stuff first and like, just the chorus or the first verse first, and I'll go from there.
   
   Inspiration is heavily influenced by my emotions and feelings, and whatever thoughts I've been thinking over (especially if they've been ruminating and developing for a long time). I structure songs through verses/choruses/bridges/tags etc but it's really loose.
   
   I record my songs on my phone and my macbook via garageband, where I can edit it more (though I don't know what I'm doing there either tbh).
   
   It's just really casual for me. I don't know a whole lot, really. And idk if this helps at all but yeah, just jumpin in on the conversation ayy

   I compose music as well, using Musescore. I wouldn't say I'm great, but I've written some decent pieces. As for instruments, I use whatever I need to get my song sounding right. Recording on Musescore is easy, as you just have to convert the file to mp3.
   
   My inspiration honestly just comes to me when I'm brainstorming for something to write or draw. I'll be imagining it, and then some tune will play in the back of my mind, and then I decide I need to write it down. Of course, imagining it and writing it down are too very separate things.
   
   The structure I use most is to play the starting theme, then go into something unique, then and with the theme again. The pieces can be short with this structure, but it's an easy structure to learn and write for.

   ooh i love composing. In fact, I'm planning on going into music composition in college. Currently though I just do stuff on musescore.
