What's Your Instrument's Name?

28 posts in this topic.

  1. My guitar's named Tara or Tarra because Spanish for guitar is guitarra. My ukulele is named Manuel because Manuel Nunes invented the first ukulele. Stupid names I know.
  2. Pffft, yours are more creative than mine... Clary the Clarinet and Al the Alto Sax.
  3. Hehe those names are awesome @Sheyren
  4. I named my first viola Rose, but I've never felt the need to name my current viola. I don't know why, but she just doesn't seem to need a name. (She's definitely a she, though... she's my beautiful girl. xD)
  5. Juan Esteban (an inherited name that I did not give him, but I call him just Juan) is my guitar, and my ukulele I just call "my Uke" and my kazoo is "my kazook."
  6. My old violin is called Janet from a book by Diana Wynne Jones though her brothers name Cat might be more suitable.
My new violin hasn't got a name yet.
  7. My friend who plays flute called my clarinet the honky conky thing. I'm trying to think of a better name.
  8. my clarinets name is Gregory, not just Greg, Gregory. my ukulele's name is Millard. my guitar's name is Esmeralda. my piano's name is Wyatt.
We all have a good time together.
  9. I have a violin and her name is Rheyna. It just felt right. I have yet to name my ukulele or my guitar and my piano is a shared instrument so that's not up to me... maybe I should name the other two today... I might name my Uke April since that's my birthday month and it's also when I bought it
  10. Hmm. My flute has no name. Nor does my piano, piccolo, or uke. However, my friend (an alto sax player) named his sax Victor Junior, the reason being that his dad’s sax was named Victor.

I think Victor Junior is Russian xD
  11. Ive never named my piano

but my little brother suggests i name it pianie or piany or something like that

please dont say you agree with him.
  12. my clarinet is named Rodrigo. My piano doesn't have a name.... yet.
  13. I need to name my piano. I just inherited some antique instruments from a pro jazz player uncle I didn't know I had. The piano is cute - it's bright red, 82 keys, bar size. My uncle was part of a jazz group from Biloxi during the 1950s and 60s. I have his trumpet too.

And on the pedestal these words appear:/'My name is Ozymandias, king of kings;/Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!'/Nothing beside remains.
