  1. So who's participating? And what are you writing about?

Me, I'm still unsure about what I'm writing. I've got a few options but they all need some planning before I can officially decide which one. Chances are, I'll end up doing my historical romance from a couple years ago called the Piano Man. It was about a young girl whose dad was a duke and she was an accomplished violinist and took lessons with an awesome teacher and friend. The teacher dies in a fire that happened during her seventh birthday party, and the family relocates, she rotates through a bunch of music teachers over the years until she ends up with this really cute guy who, unlike the others and much like the first one, didn't treat her father's instructions as law. They end up falling in love. And while all this happens, the MC is dealing with hearing loss which she got after the fire and may or may not go through a series of tests all the way in England. (I forget where they're from. xD Austria, I think.) It'll take some research to fully understand what time period and setting it'll take place in, but yeah.

The other option was based off a short story I wrote for Spun Yarn called something lame but I had loads of fun writing it. It was about a girl who got a book of fairytales from her Oma (German for "grandma"), and as she reads fairytales, her life reflects certain parts of the stories. It was a lot of fun, but this also requires some research as to which stories I'd use.

My third is rewriting a previous nano, but I need a change. So I probably won't do that. XD
  2. So participating it isn't even funny. As to what exactly I'm writing... not so sure yet.

I'm considering working on my Bluejay Project for NaNo, seeing as how the projected project is at least one novel long. Basically, a girl-meets-boy story, with healthy does of fae magic, zombies and searching for human nature.

On the other hand, I like the idea of NaNo being it's own project, rather than continuing something else. So... maybe I'll come up with something else?

I dunno, it's all up in the air right now. But the Bluejay Project is still my fall-back.
  3. I'm going to attempt to write two 50,000 word novels, since last year I got to 50,000 words in 15 days (so I've already written at that pace before XD) and I need a challenge. ;)

They're both epic quests, but one of them is about a group of underestimated diplomats and their bodyguards, dodging pirates to travel to a mysterious icy continent only recently kind-of discovered. The other's about what happens when a petty thief accidentally kills someone destined to save the three Grand Cities from ruin, and is forced to take his place.

    I'm excited. >.<

The magic is only in what books say, how they stitched the patches of the universe together into one garment for us.
