-"I love your story! Write more!" No. That is just... Not even critique, it's your comment. I want some juicy stuff! What do you like about it? WHY do you love it?
-I've heard someone say "....I'm sorry, but f this were a published book, I would have thrown it across the room and never finished reading it..." There was more to it, but I didn't get all of the information.
-I like to hear negative comments, really. I just have to remember anything you say will help me. I'll cry once I go to bed, then get over it, eat some ice cream, then reply to you saying I understand
I also like to hear grammar corrections, I've always had issues with them, sentence fragments mainly.
-I don't really know my weakness yet...
-Adding elaboration scripts. I love doing those! I can also catch spelling pretty easily, but so does spellcheck... -

Nothing but positive feedback is a nice ego boost but you're really not helping me. That being said, when you tell me to do something straight up telling me and not as a suggestion bugs me a lot. Critiques are suggestions, not commands.

I once critiqued a friend's myth, telling her ahead of time that I'm quite harsh, even if she's a bit (read: really) bad at taking critique. Her main character had colour-changing eyes, and that's such an over-used trope that I went "WTF. NEVER DO THIS EVER."
But harshest that I've had said to myself? I can't remember. I never take anything too seriously, so I probably have, but never really considered it bad.

Character flaws, narration style, plot holes, the likes. I really really just want feedback on everything. But I suppose realism of situations is something I struggle with. OH AND PACING. I suck at pacing.

Content xD Hate to say it, but I'm the worst when it comes to content. I will try my best, but usually the content part is what gets me. Unless the characters are really, really unrealistic/cliche, I probably won't notice anything.
-Strengths while critiquing?
Grammar, dialogue, style and form. I'm good with the technical little stuff. -
- "omg, if you didn't say that English wasn't your native language, I would've never knew.." ~ don't get me wrong, this is great to hear. I really do appreciate it when someone tells me I'm good in writing in English because I truly love it. But I don't put the "English isn't my 1st language" note everywhere because I want to hear that - I put it so people would understand that I probably have some grammar issues, and so they could point out what I did wrong in a way I will remember for next time.
- I don't mind the harsh reviews that focus on the flaws (even more, I love them).. The one that got me the most annoyed, though, was the one a publisher gave me, based on short excerpt she didn't even read properly - she said it reminded her of certain other books, and she said it in a rather rude way. I would have no problems with hearing it usually, but when one doesn't even bother to read the part I sent, let alone the whole novel, then I freak on those kinds of comments.
- I like hearing about what I did wrong. Of course, it's always nice to hear someone loved something or about all the stuff I did good.. But I really need reviews so I could improve myself, and it helps to hear what each person found lacking. Besides, when one tells me of a few stuff that are wrong, I know that the things they didn't mention were good - so I get both a critique and a compliment in one, really, do I not?
- As for my weaknesses and strengths.. Like I said, English is not my first language, so I don't look at grammar (unless there's something seriously off).. I focus mainly on characters and the overall atmosphere of the piece, as I tend to give it the most thoughts in my own writing as well. I also comment on the flow, and on if the end makes me want to know more or not. My greatest weakness, as I see it, is being too nice when reviewing something publicly and to someone I don't know - I prefer not ending up fighting with random people over something I said, so I often make my critique sound nicer than it really should.
