Alrighty-ighty-ighty.
I am Zyphlid (obviously), but you can call me Rachel. I live in Louisville, KY and am currently a senior in high school. I plan to go to a local college next spring and get a MFA in Creative Writing before becoming an editor and (hopefully) author.
I am trying to working out two or three sci-fi stories at the moment and have one pretty simply laid out. Two have names so far ("Amaranths" and "Innate", the latter being the one with a steady plot) and the third is a forming idea that I am trying to work out.
Amaranths involves a lot of aliens and space and as a multitude of characters, three of which serve as POVs. I had a plot for it at one time, but dropped it after I realized I didn't have much going for it. So am back to square one with this story and I have put it on hiatus as I focus on the next two.
Innate revolves around a 20-year-old woman named Nadette who lives in the pine forests of Northeast US in a small cabin seven years after an alien invasion took place on Earth. She befriends a Morphous (a was once human creature that had been genetically altered and spliced by the aliens (named Cybernetics) and used as swarm troops early in the invasion before being kill off in a mass genocide when their use was no longer need (so few remain)) and forms a mutual agreement with a migrating human colony that settle close to her home. The story follows her troubles with the colony and the Cybernetics and I plan to have it separated into three novels if I can form a thicker plot.
The third story, as said, is a forming idea. So far it is about an unnamed girl who becomes involved with an underground organization (I am unsure what they do currently) that is made up of shapeshifters, but not the kind as seen in fantasy. They change their form to add, remove, or morph appendages or become a completely different person (they cannot, however, mimic another person's appearance). I have two characters so far (the girl and the leader of the organization) and I am currently trying to figure out a better plot.
That is basically what I have to tell! I thought it a good idea to explain the stories along with stuff about me so that people know what I plan to ask help with! -

To start, my full name is Rebecca S. Zeno. But you have permission to call me Becca, Bec, or B for short.
I am(though may not sound like it) in 7th grade. *And the jaws drop* I know, you might not think a 7th grader knows what she's talking about. But, I do. I've studied so much writing, and my first 'chapter' book was in 3rd grade. I live in Florida, the not-always-a-sunshine-state.
I am writing a handful of books, all of which I can describe to you below.
My main story I started in 2011 has been everywhere, it's a 35k mess. But, either way, I know you all can help me neaten it up
It doesn't have a name yet, I just don't know what name fits, but that too can be resolved
It is about a girl named Kyra who accidentally time travels to a different realm and finds out she is a wanted princess. After being taken by one evil king, a dark fairy queen comes along and officially takes her. Then, she is tossed into a game where she has to find diamond mushrooms to bring her back to reality. During the game, she meets lost friends, and drags along her 'Knight in shining armor.'
Oh gosh... That just sounds bad. (I can promise you it is better in words, I suck at summaries. I really. Really. Do.)
My other stories I'll share in time, my fingers are getting a little tired and I want to hear what you all have to say!

Whooo hi everyone!
Ookay, so I'm Mochi, m'real name's Ashley, and I'm 16 years old, in grade 11, the poor science major with an average that isn't quite high enough LOL.
I write fantasy, and my main novel is a low fantasy story. I've had a short story rejected twice by publishers (it almost went through the first time, though !!) and it sparked my rejected letter scrapbook. That's besides the point. I've been writing seriously since I was 12, so I'm kind of a newcomer in terms of writing compared to a lot of you guys.
My main story is touchy, and I'm not planning to finish that any time soon. It's my magnum opus, and for that reason I'm gonna take my sweet time with it.
On the other hand, the one I'm trying to finish is The Winter Prince, a low fantasy story about a war-hungry prince who tries to prove to his father that his ways were better than the recent ones that were put into place. He eventually gets captured, taken captive by the empress of the country he tried to invade, and used in her war plot. He escapes, however, befriending the assassin who caught him in the first place, and eventually learns to care for people. Or maybe just one person.
It's only 11k right now -dies- but I really want to try to finish it before the end of this year. -

Hi :3 I go by Aria, but I've gone by many names, so pretty much anything will be fine.
I'm 18, finishing my high school, and I get sad when asked what I will do after it (long story).
I am not good in talking about myself, but I don't have a problem with answering all kinds of questions (for some, though, take it to PMs).. I always listen to music, which of I like a lot of different genres and stuff.. I go to art school (textile design, though I've always been more of a graphic person and for drawing only).. I tend to be evil
3), I speak fluent sarcasm and I'm sometimes something of a control freak. If I could have one power, I would choose to manipulate time. As you will probably learn, I'm slightly obsessed with time, clocks and stuff like that.
What else.. I'm currently working on a series of novels. They fall under fantasy, though they don't deal with physical other worlds, dragons, elves, visible magic and the rest of the crew - I write of things that could, theoretically, be really doable (most of them anyway), of minds and dreams and wishes.. And a Game. It's all really long and complicated, so I will stop there - hit me with a PM or mail if you happen to wish to know more.
The first book is finished, it stands with over 500 pages (I know, right?), and isn't, unfortunately, written in English. I'm working on book two, which will hopefully be over by this time next year, and all in all there will be five of them. I sent the excerpts of the first one to a publisher, but she was rather rude and, well, it didn't get published.. Now I'm contemplating on whether to translate it to English and try my luck abroad, or what :p
I love the Victorian era, steampunk stuff, dark stuff, twisted characters, my pet lizard, music, chess.. And a lot of other stuff. I'm also one of the YWS mentors, so if you need anything, or want to know people or something, again, hit me up with a PM (I have no idea how new or old you are here)..oh yes, and I've been writing from rather early childhood, having finished my first novel (206 pages by hand) at the age of 12 (or such) - it pretty much sucked, and I don't have the whole thing anymore, but still ^^
