Hello. So, like I said, as the Festival is getting to its end, we are about to make an SB all together.
So far, on Veeren's idea and with a random touch of my owns, this is what we have:
It would be a Storybook about Storybooking, but not really. There'd be no mention of YWS, no fan fiction and such, but the story would be based on it. There'd be two groups of characters - the Puppeteers, those who control; and the Puppets, those controlled. I think we should all choose more than one character, but we will see about that.
The Puppeteers would be living in our world, able to access the world of their characters through dreams or such, maybe. The Puppets would live in a world we agree about.
I was thinking, one of the following.
a) the Puppeteers would all be in the same town or such, and they could interact with each other. The Puppets, however, in this case, would be living in different worlds and different times, and wouldn't be in touch until~ they end up, somehow, summoned to the real world. The Puppets would still be controlled by the Puppeteers, except for now they'd know of it and would probably not be particularly happy.
b)The Puppeteers would be living in different times and places, and the Puppets in the same world. The Puppets may or may not interact. Again, until~ the Puppeteers end up all together in the world of their creations. They could have entered through their dreams or something more physical, like a portal, we'll see about that. Again, the Puppets would now know that they're being controlled, yet they'd know the details of their own world better than the Puppeteers would. And they'd probably not be very happy about having someone without any real magic or knowledge to control them.
In the case b), it would be nice to make it a fantasy-style world, which on we should agree in more details. If going with the option a), the world would be known to us and the characters could be coming from wherever.
I wouldn't like to make it all about a battle between good and evil, at least not so all the characters are on the same side. The Puppeteers would have the power to control the Puppets in some way, but they'd still have their own minds and so on. Though some of them may not think so.
So, I was thinking, after we choose which idea we're going with, we could make teams or pairs - one would do the background story, one would be in charge of the world building and so on. We would all, however, get back together and make sure we agree on everything as a team.
Thought so far?

I choose...b)
Oh, and I had an idea for the plot:
What if the 'puppets' were to gain their own free will, including the evil ones.
or
The 'puppeteers' became one of their puppets.
or
The 'puppeteers' realized that they were actually puppets! o.O
or
The 'puppeteers' and their 'puppets' swapped places
or- *realizes how much space this post is going to take up*
*shuts-up*
So...thoughts? -
Yeah, I think B sound like a lot of fun too ^.^
As for words' plot ideas, I say the first one sounds cool. Oh! I have an idea. What if each Puppeteer has a hero and a villain puppet, like characters in their book. That way, once the Puppeteers make their way into the Puppets worlds, they no longer have control of their villain's actions. That would make for a fun time ^.^
And I am so up for world building
-
B it is, then

As for the ideas. Perhaps the ones on the evil side would be the ones wanting to, say, find the way to the world of the Puppeteers, become those themselves and raise an army of minions to conquer all. Mwahahah.
I like words' first idea the most too, and I agree with Veeren - let's make them all have two characters. But I would make it so the Puppeteer gets to maintain control over one of them - not by choice, to make it more interesting.
Veeren is in charge for world building, then. You can take anyone to help you, of course. PM me if you wish too. I was thinking, perhaps we'd need to have a special person/team to plan magic to mo details?
So, as far as we go, it's this:
We all have two characters - a Puppeteer and a Puppet
Our Puppeteer controls to characters - a Villain Puppet and a..what's the opposite of villain?
Once our Puppeteer gets to the world of the Puppets, he/she only controls one of his/hers characters - the villain of the other one.
The Puppet we choose as our POV character doesn't need to be controlled nor connected with our Puppeteer POV character - we can even control each other, but with a lot of talking and zero Godmoding.
We already have a lot 8D -
What kind of world would this be set in?
-
It sounds fun to be a puppet.
-
Lol, never mind. I just read the giant post at the beginning. Should have done that before I commented xD
-
Did the puppeteers create the puppets, and in that case how?

-
Would the Puppets be able to control their thoughts and speech? That way, they'd only be semi-controlled, but I think it'd be interesting because they could argue with their Puppeteer and such.
And there would be the interesting mental debate...Am I real? I have my own opinions but my creator put them all there... -
I created a Google Doc. I figured it will be easier that way..
Alvarin, the Puppets are basically characters from the Puppeteers' novels/stories/poems/SBs. The Puppeteers end up in the world of their own imagination, and then find out that they share it with their own creations, as well as with the other Puppeteers.
Kay, I was thinking about it. Once the Puppeteers would get into the World, I guess they wouldn't be able to control their thoughts and speech anymore. Or better said, they could control their movement by, say, reading the words they write, but by default, the Puppets would act on their own. Unless you make one of them your character and he/she acts differently, of course.
And even before that, the Puppeteers only controlled as much as they mentioned in their books/whatever. All of the Puppets would have the appearance and the personalities their Puppeteers imagined, but would also have their own thoughts and more filled life than the Puppeteers imagined.
I kind of want to make writers think of how important it is to give a lot of thoughts to their characters, I guess. Along the way xD -
I have a feeling that we're going to be questioning whether we're puppets or not by the end of this Dx
-
That, Veer, would make me very happy in a very twisted way :3
-
I love this, and am so in.
-
I am in also, this is gonna be a lot of fun...

Also, I would love to help with making the world. I love making worlds

How would controlling puppets work? Say I had a puppet character with someone else as the Puppeteer, how would that work out in POV of the Puppet? Does the puppet know it's being controlled?
