  1. Have a Storybook idea, but not sure it'll fly? Post here!
  2. So, well, I decided to post it here.

The idea is to make a Storybook as a group, the members of our club together. Veered came up with the idea to actually call the SB The Ink Puppeteers, and have, in a way, a Storybook about Storybooking - which I think is pretty awesome.
Allow me to quote myself, haha:

Some could play the Puppeteers, the controllers, and others could tell how they think the characters, the Puppets, the controlled ones feel.. Perhaps each person should take one from the each role, too...... Hmmmm >:3

Thoughts? If you're in, we can make a new topic to discuss it further ;)
  3. I'm in! ..As long as we come up with an excellent plot ;)
  4. Excellent plot it would surely have ^^ I think we should give it more thoughts after the Festival, though, there's a lot of things going on now :p

Oh. And I have a random new idea.
I was thinking of making an SB in which, at some place and for some reason, there'd be a war between a few religions. There'd be, like, five spots of religious leaders, and others for the members of the sect/Organisation/whatever.. People would need to come up with their own ideas for beliefs and stuff, so it would require a lot of plotting. I have no idea of the backstory yet, nor anything else for that matter. I'd add magic, though - something like, they'd get it from the god/s they'd believe in/pray to/ sacrifice something to/whatever they think of.

Uh, I don't know what's up with me and random religious fantasy stuff lately xD
  5. Aria's idea sounds like this: http://writerfeedpad.com/bpwhfMDibG except the knucklehead (Ita) never bothered to actually put it up when he had plenty of people for it.
  6. I was to be a part of that as well, LH ^^ Another one in which Ita was to play my father, even more xD

But I didn't imagine it quite that way, actually.. I wouldn't like to present everything to the writers, but they'd need to come up with their own ideas about their religion and all that (and PM them to me before we start or something).
  7. So.. I've been thinking about starting an SB for a while, and I recently came up with an idea that might work. Haven't come up with much of a plot yet, but I'm getting there. Just wanted to know what you think about what I have so far.

It's set in the heart of a big city (I'm gonna have to come up with a name for it), modern time. In this city there are creatures that feed off human fear. These creatures (yet to be named) can disguise themselves as normal humans, but their true form is more like some beast from a horror movie. Their shapes and sizes vary greatly, but they're all very scary. These creatures all know that the strongest fear comes from a human who dies violently, and this has split the beasts into two groups. The first group chooses not to kill humans, and only scares them. The second group kills people in the most gruesome ways, not caring about the humans as long as they get to feed properly. Beast from the second group only has to feed about once or twice a week (though most of them feed more often than that, 'cause why go hungry?), so they can live almost normal lives as humans if they want. They can go to school or work or do whatever they want when they're not killing. The beasts from the first group, on the other hand, have to feed just as often as a human has to eat. They can't live a normal human life, since most of their time is spent hiding in the shadows, waiting for the right time to jump out and scare someone. This is a price they are more than willing to pay though, and the little free time they have is spent alongside humans.

As for the plot, group 1 isn't very fond of group 2, for obvious reasons. All the brutal killings are starting to draw attention to the city, and beast hunters are arriving. The hunters kills members from both the groups, not really caring about who actually does the killing. Group 1 is convinced that the hunters would leave if there were no more killings, but group 2 refuses to change their behavior, instead choosing to fight the hunters. So, to sum it up, the hunters tries to kill all beasts. Group 1 tries to hide, group 2 fights back. Group 1 and 2 sometimes fight each other as well.. And then of course there are humans affected by this conflict in some way or another.

In this SB you're supposed to be able to choose either a beast from one of the groups, a hunter or a normal human that somehow have gotten involved.

So, does it sound promising or just horribly boring?
  8. Sounds promising to me, tho considering the three sides, and the genre of the story, I may join it and clear up a few details that I would be interested in using for a character who would be a hunter.
  9. @Alvarin That sounds great :D
I think writing as a beast would be totally awesome xP

@LoyalHeart It's spelled 'though', not 'tho'.
I'm sorry, I've seen you write that too many times for me to not point it out. >.<
  10. I just finished season one of American Horror Story on Netflix, and season two isn't out yet. I was considering starting a storybook in the spirit of AHS.

In American Horror Story, each season is a new story, but the actors from the last season remain, undertaking new roles. In Multi-Cultural Scary Tale, storybookers will each get a shot to run their own story. Old SBers will take on new roles in each other's stories.

What say you guys? Anyone interested? Anyone think this idea stinks? I personally think it could be pretty fun. Everyone loves a good scare.
  11. Hey guys!

I'm rebooting this Storybook, created by my good friend Lit a while back: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=95310

The concept I'm using is still pretty much the same, however! We're limiting ourselves to only one country, Spades, of which AriaAdams will be King or Queen of. I will be heading the rebels.

Unlike the original SB, the rebels to not have one main hide-out. They lurk, in groups of a dozen or so, in the biggest Crown cities. That way, it's harder for the officials to discern and move against them. Which cities are unknown, though I'm sure the Crown has a few ideas >:3
The rebels occupy many positions in society, from merchants and bankers who seek a more liberal economical field, to intellectuals who philosophize of change, to the tired and revolt-hungry lower classes. Not all are very informed, however. Everything is pretty hush hush. You have to know exactly the people who know the right people to know something that is not myth or superstition.
The Crown are the high class, the rich men, most of the nobility. They have fought for power ages ago and do not intend on giving it up. They detain economical advantage, of course, and lurk in the upper echelons of society. Usually. In this version, they have been remade into a much more cruel version. There have been two great rebellions in the span of a decade, and the Crown is afraid. Murmurs of insurgence are repressed in blood. This has already happened in the Hearts kingdom, which is undergoing a period of civil war, with growing strength in the rebels. Now Spades has gotten wind of this, and wants in. The rebels, like the Crown, have their associates in all countries, though they will be NPC. People can have multiple NPCs, provided they are on the same side as their main character.

The two sides have great freedom within their realm. We don't need to post profiles in the SB proper, however, your allies will know of your character, in some way or another. You can figure out how to do this among yourselves I'm sure.

I'm also creating a more in depth setting, which we can all participate in and add to! Sis and I are creating the capital city, with maps to boot. If you have any suggestions in this department, do mention! I'll also be modifying magic somewhat, make it less of a key element. The era is medieval, let us say. People have been experimenting with gun powder, but it's messy and not worth it yet.

The SB will be rather fast-paced. Plotting is encouraged on both sides, and both sides have their secrets which they should keep. However, major events must be discussed and mentioned clearly in the DT. Hints in the posts are also welcome.

Do get back to me if you like the sound of this!
  12. I like it! Could you PM for the storyline of it?
  13. What do you mean? Plot? Rebel insurgence. Simple. We build the rest on the fly. Hallmarks should be mentioned in the DT. Also, click the link to the original for an idea.
  14. Right, well, I'm obviously in.

For those who will be joining my side (the Crown, that is), I believe I will make some sort of profile sheets, so do let me know via PMs or in chat or something. :)
  15. I'll be a prince of some sort, if those are open :P
