Preferably fantasy. I like the whole element-bending thing but I'm not the best at writing it. I love the whole twilight element of Twilight Princess (a Legend of Zelda game COMPLETELY different from Twilight by Stephanie Meyer (did I spell that right?)) but I'm a bit worried it's cliche. Anyway, element-bending, twilight, witches/wizards, stuff like that. I seem to have a talent for making things completely different, completely NOT cliche, even if it sounds that way. Thanks in advance for all your help!

Yes, you spelled it right. There's a boy, and he's always been kept inside his house with the lights off because his mom says it's too dangerous outside. Then one day, she accidentally doesn't shut the door all the way and he sees light for the first time, and he's so excited about it that he goes outside and figures out that he can bend light. But, the shadow benders are in control of everything and it's very dangerous to be a light bender. In fact, it's illegal, and his mom had kept him hidden for this very reason, endangering her own life, and she's been captured. So the boy has to save his mom.
